At 2 Hour Learning, we leverage cutting-edge technology to deliver a personalized and accelerated learning experience to K-12 students across a variety of unique schools, including Alpha School, GT School, eSports Academy, and Sports Academy.

You'll bring your expertise to a dynamic team, driving the planning and execution of events across our campuses in Austin, Brownsville, Miami, and Silicon Valley. Your role will be critical in enhancing our brand and educational mission, connecting prospective students and families with transformative educational opportunities.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This position requires the candidate to be based in the Austin, TX, metro area. While we advertise nationally and welcome all applicants, residency in or relocation to the Austin metro is required. Relocation assistance may be available for highly qualified candidates. 

What you will be doing

  • Plan and Execute Memorable Events: Lead the logistical and thematic aspects of various events such as open houses, student showcases, and partner/donor events across multiple campuses.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with marketing, academics, admissions, and operations teams to tailor events that meet the diverse needs of our campuses and support strategic goals.
  • Enhance Attendee Experience: Craft events that reflect 2 Hour Learning's innovative spirit, ensuring each provides an immersive and informative experience for attendees.
  • Strategic Event Management: Utilize your project management skills to oversee multiple events simultaneously, ensuring flawless execution and alignment with broader marketing strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with high-net-worth individuals and key community members, enhancing relationships and fostering community support for 2 Hour Learning’s mission.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Routine Administrative Tasks: You will not be bogged down by day-to-day admin; your focus is on creating and managing impactful events.
  • Siloed Working: You will not be working in isolation but rather as part of a vibrant team that values collaboration and shared success.

Key responsibilities

Drive 2 Hour Learning's success by planning and executing engaging, strategic events that promote our educational philosophy and attract new students and supporters.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven track record in planning and executing large-scale and high-quality events.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with a knack for meticulous attention to detail.
  • Based in the Austin, TX metro area and willing to work in-person at our HQ, with the flexibility to travel occasionally to our other campuses in Brownsville, Miami, and Silicon Valley.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event timelines.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice to have

  • Experience in digital event platforms and virtual event planning.
  • Background in education, technology, nonprofit, or business sector event management preferred.
