3072 NetSuite Chief Architect

We are looking for high-performing VPs of Engineering for a high-wage fully remote role.  Experienced technical leaders that are able to thrive in a progressive environment apply now.

Netsuite Chief Architect

$ 100k/Year  ($ 50/Hour for 40 hours of productive work per week)  Remote Position   Long-term

Do you have the passion and ambition to grow your Netsuite skills using a revolutionary production model? Do you thrive in an environment of using metrics to make real-time decisions and improve your productivity? Would you rather contribute to a high-quality implementation instead of random customizations? Do you wish you could participate in the design and implementation of a solution from scratch for a $1B organization? If yes then this role may be for you.

Our client organization is moving it’s $1B function onto Netsuite. This project has started and is in it’s early days. You will be part of the team being shaped to implement Netsuite and to also integrate any newly acquired companies onto the Netsuite instance being setup. You will assist with architecting and implementing across the global business while also defining and developing a central data structure to support complex finance flows.

“I've grown professionally more than expected since I joined Crossover. I started as an Architect, then was promoted to Chief Architect and after a year became SEM. It all went so fast! I escalated the ladder and got the opportunity to face challenges I never imagined before.”

In this team you will be responsible for the operational aspects of Netsuite, configuration, and supporting the day to day business needs.  You will also be architecting and implementing a Netsuite solution across our global business. You will define and develop a central data structure to support complex finance flows. As a NetSuite Chief Architect you will work with the key stakeholders to design functions and prototypes for implementation.

Our client organization is constantly acquiring new companies and, therefore, another team within the central engineering function is responsible to integrate newly acquired companies into the implemented netsuite version.  If you join this team you will largely work on the integration of data from the acquired company into the implemented Netsuite instance. You will write functional requirements, design functions, build prototypes, and implement, test, train, outline support procedures, lead work streams, and do the implementation.

Questions
and Answers

  • How can I succeed in this role?

Our management culture is aligned with the principles mentioned in “The Phoenix Project.” You should read this book before participating in our hiring tournaments to ensure that you are aligned with our culture and have a greater chance of succeeding in our organization.

  • How do you perform in the role of VP of engineering when all your teams are remote?

We use communication tools such as GoToMeeting, Zoom, Skype, and Slack. We also ensure that our processes are well documented in the form of playbooks and have developed a tool, Worksmart Pro, which enables us to keep track of time and applications used. This data allows us to form a diary of how our partners spend their day and coach them on improved productivity.

  • Do you use Agile?

Like most organizations, we make use of subsets of Agile. The one key difference though is that our teams are highly specialized in the task they do. For example, we have a maintenance team whose only job is to fix bugs on our products. Rather than being product specialists, our teams are process specialists.

  • Do VPs of Engineering actually do hands-on coding in this role?

No, there is no hands-on work. However, we want people who have been developers in the past. We believe that the best way you can help and communicate with your teams is if you have experienced technical problems yourself.

  • Does a VP of Engineering need to travel in his role?

A VP of Engineering is not expected to travel as all our management is done remotely.
