Do you want to be the chief executive for your city to further accelerate the growth of an international company that fundamentally believes that we are creating the future of work?  Are you a natural leader in your city with deep connections in various industries? Are you focused on metrics and process? If so, this role is for you.

As Crossover’s City GM, you will be responsible for driving exceptional growth and making Crossover the premier ‘company of choice’ to work for within your city.  This growth will be measured in the total number of Crossover Partners we add in your city - with an additional 100 in your city as the minimum bar for 2018. To accomplish this growth - you will need to establish a physical coworking location for Crossover and establish it as the ‘go to’ spot for the local tech community, become very active in local meet-ups, be very visible through the local press and nurture local recommendations from our current Crossover Partner community in your city.  You will be working closely with our local Brand Ambassadors, current Partners, local recruiters and the global executive Crossover teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorm, plan, and execute step-function growth of our Crossover Partners located in your city - adding at least 100 in 2018

  • Work with existing co-working locations in your city to open a Crossover-branded location and establish it as the leading location for top talent

  • Initiate creative local marketing strategies and user growth campaigns via social media, blogs and other media

  • Become very visible in the community via speaking engagements and press interviews on the ‘future of work’

  • Drive the growth of our community of our most senior technical roles by hosting massive hiring tournaments (for more information on these tournaments, see here

  • Partner with local recruiting agencies, academic institutions, local job boards and thought leaders to promote Crossover to the best and brightest talent

  • Manage local regulatory concerns and local politics

  • Develop a community and culture of Crossover talent - from career coaching, to training activities and job success

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of previous city or country GM experience with demonstrated metrics on growth

  • Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgement through strong analytical thinking

  • Creative, solutions-driven mindset, with a “get-things-done” attitude

  • People magnet - with stellar interpersonal and networking skills

  • Deep understanding of the local talent market and demonstrated credibility within various communities today

  • Entrepreneurial DNA and fearlessness

  • Candidates must be from the following cities: Kiev, Budapest, Warsaw, Istanbul, Moscow, Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Minsk, Buenos Aires

Crossover offers:

Step 1: Online Application

Start your application by creating an account and profile with Crossover, then uploading your resume and confirming your email address. From there, the Crossover platform will guide you through the remaining steps.

Step 2: Take the English and Fundamentals Test

We have a series of multiple-choice tests to check for the knowledge and skills needed for the role and an English exam where we ask candidates to upload a 2-3 minute audio submission. After this stage, you will receive an email invitation to the next step in the application process.

Step 3: Free Response Questions and CCAT Testing

In this step, we will ask you a series of free response questions that will simulate scenarios you are likely to encounter in the role. We find both the willingness to invest this time – coupled with the insights we derive from the answers – help us find the truly capable and passionate candidates. You may also be asked to make a presentation of your answers to demonstrate your communication skills. The free response section is an opportunity to preview the type of work you would be doing in the role and demonstrate your technical skills and abilities to hiring managers. The last free response question will invite you to complete CCAT testing. The CCAT measures cognitive aptitude or general intelligence, and tests an ability to solve problems, digest and apply information, learn new skills, and think critically.

Step 4: Join the Interview

The final step of the evaluation process is the marketplace interview. One of our hiring manager evaluators will speak with you on a video call to understand if you're the best fit for the position. In addition to technical and business questions about your current and previous roles and achievements, you may be asked about the answers you gave in your free response questions.

Step 5: Meet the Customer and Get Hired

If you successfully pass all stages of the evaluation process, you will have the opportunity to talk with hiring managers about the positions that are currently available. This is intended to be a two-way discussion where you can ask questions about the team, product, metrics, roadmap, etc. You can interview with as many hiring managers as desired and make the decision on which company or team best fits your interests and career goals.
