We are looking for an experienced Java Engineering Leader, who brings outstanding managerial and technical capabilities to run a software engineering operation of a multi-million-dollar revenue enterprise with SaaS products.

The Java Software Engineering Manager should have the ability to multi-task, be organized to meet tight deadlines and extremely process focused on excelling in a fast-paced environment.

As a team leader, you will be responsible for building and managing a high-performance team, running deep dives with your teams to resolve blockers and ensure the team is delivering on daily tasks outlined in the weekly targets. The Java Software Engineering Manager will serve as a key member of our global executive team and will be responsible for delivering high-quality products.

This leadership position demands proficiency to conduct tech reviews, improve productivity from your engineering organization and guide a talented global pool of professionals to solve business problems continuously.

We are looking for hands-on leaders with a robust Cloud background, who are comfortable with aggressive weekly targets and have the ability to leverage their technical depth to set the standard for software engineering excellence.

 
BOOTCAMP PROGRAM

To be considered for this position you are required to take part in a mandatory training series and tests included in our 4-week Bootcamp program.

After grading your tests, you will be eligible to take the Bootcamp which is usually held within a week of obtaining your test results. You will be paid the full-time rate for 40 hours per week for four weeks.

Once the Bootcamp tests are complete, we will be able to evaluate you for the position correctly. Bootcamp is a very tough training program, and only an average of 50% of attendees can finish it. Taking the Bootcamp doesn’t guarantee that you will be hired, but it is a requirement as part of the hiring process.

Deliver regular product releases across multiple, complex software products

Establish world-class standards and technical operations to deliver high-quality products through team members located in different timezones

Engage with customers and product managers to ensure value creation for our customers

Engage and align top talent through strong recruitment, mentoring, hands-on technical leadership and career management

Transform acquired engineering teams into an effective and efficient global model to increase quality and reduce cost

 
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (MS or Ph.D. preferred) is absolutely mandatory

10+ years of experience in hands-on software development/engineering

3+ years experience in leading software development teams

Experience in managing teams of 10+ people

3+ years of experience releasing software products within a CI/CD environment

Hands-on experience in Java architecture and programming

Proven experience in building high-performance teams and scalable best engineering practices

Excellent understanding of current enterprise software technologies and development practices/tools, including virtualization, source control, build and test automation, code quality automation technologies

Experience with high-end enterprise systems deployed in environments of Global 100 corporation complexity

Proficiency in Test Automation, AWS and TDD is desired but not mandatory

Demonstrated success as a problem solver, result-oriented, self-starter

Comfortable “working virtually” with teammates and customers around the world. We do a lot of Skype and video conferencing

Good proficiency in the English language
