The primary objective of the US education system is to ensure that all children attain a minimum level of academic achievement. Educators and policymakers focus on “leaving no kid behind” and bash gifted and talented (“GT”) education programs for being unfair. But could you imagine a five-star basketball recruit doing layup drills as a high-school senior simply because that was what the rest of the team was doing?

Why should the most academically talented students be treated differently? At gt.school, we believe it is unfair to restrict the potential of these kids by sticking them in unchallenging classes that stunt their growth. Through adaptive learning apps and one-on-one coaching, students learn up to 10x faster than traditional instructional methods. We complement this accelerated learning with valuable life skills coaching that will prepare them for adulthood and help shape the next generation of leaders, innovators, and world-changers.

Rather than restrict ourselves geographically, our program is fully remote so that we can serve students all over the country. However, this means we cannot do campus tours or run enrollment events with the local community. We need a seasoned B2C marketer that knows how to reach our parents of GT students all over the country. In this role, you’ll create a marketing strategy to attract your audience, driving signups and helping our business scale. With full ownership of the marketing decisions, you will have the opportunity to create an innovative strategy, implement it at scale, and place yourself firmly on a CMO track.

What you will be doing
  • Designing marketing strategies focused on referrals and parent marketing to engage GT parents and drive signups to our program.
  • Creating marketing content, such as display and video ads, that reflect the gt.school messaging and resonate with the GT parents.
What you will NOT be doing
  • Writing boring and stale copy. Our proposition is distinctive and we need edgy messaging that creates excitement and differentiation.
  • Managing agencies without hands-on work. The best leaders are doers, and we expect you to create collateral, not just review what others create.
Key Responsibilities
  • Boost gt.school brand awareness, and drive student enrollment through a creative and edgy marketing strategy.
Candidate Requirements
  • At least 5 years of marketing experience in a B2C company or startup
  • At least 2 years of growth marketing experience
  • Proven experience creating marketing strategies
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on environment


$200k/year ($100/hour)
