gt.school is a remote afterschool program that unlocks the full potential of GT students. We believe school should prepare kids for adulthood, and one of our core pillars is teaching them life skills that will help them succeed. Making life skills sound as exciting to a 13-year-old as they are to us is not an easy job, so we are looking for skillful writers to make it happen.
This role is not about creating a school curriculum. You will create ideas that get kids excited about learning life skills and develop a course that motivates the students to master them. Fueled by your creativity and a selection of validated ideas, you will transform learning life skills into a fun activity.

What you will be doing
- Building the course. Based on a list of valuable life skills, you will create the course content that enables kids to master the skill.
- Selling the idea. You will create peripheral content that gets both kids and parents excited about gaining life skills.
What you will NOT be doing
- Writing boring academic content. This role is about teaching life skills in a fun and engaging manner.
- Choosing the skills. We have already created a list of research-backed life skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Getting 11 to 15-year-old gifted & talented kids excited to learn critical life skills by creating educational and entertaining content.
Candidate Requirements
- Excellent writing skills
- Deep understanding of trends and content that engage US students aged 11-15
- Experience with gifted and talented kids - you have either worked with one or been one yourself
