Description

Are you ready to redefine how AI shapes competitive advantage in EdTech? We're not looking for another "check-the-boxes" product marketer. We need a strategic thinker who's ready to pioneer new processes, push AI tools to their limits, and thrive in the ambiguity of a rapidly evolving industry.

This isn't about following a playbook – there isn't one. You'll be building new frameworks for how AI can transform competitive research, market modeling, and strategic positioning. If you're passionate about discovering insights others miss and translating them into market-moving strategies, keep reading.

Our rapidly growing EdTech organization is revolutionizing how students learn through AI-powered personalized education. We're looking for someone to become our go-to expert on market trends and competitive positioning, working closely with our content, SEO, and strategy teams to drive growth and differentiation.

If you're energized by ambiguous challenges and ready to pioneer new approaches in a fast-moving industry, we want to hear from you!

What you will be doing

  • Driving competitive analysis and market intelligence using cutting-edge AI tools to uncover actionable insights
  • Providing strategic guidance for content creation, SEO strategies, and video development that align with market trends
  • Analyzing and articulating our differentiation, identifying opportunities to outperform competitors
  • Building and maintaining research-backed lists of key decision-makers in target markets to support outreach efforts

What you will NOT be doing

  • Executing pre-written playbooks or follow established processes – you'll be building them from scratch
  • Focusing solely on surface-level competitor tracking or standard market research reports
  • Working in isolation – your insights will directly shape our content, positioning, and growth strategies
  • Getting comfortable – this fast-paced environment demands constant learning and evolution

Key responsibilities

Drive competitive positioning and enrollment growth through actionable insights on market trends, competitor strategies, and opportunities for differentiation in the education and EdTech sectors.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience in product marketing, market research, or related field with demonstrated success in competitive analysis
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools for research and insights generation
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
  • Comfortable working independently and building processes from scratch
  • Experience collaborating with content, SEO, and digital strategy teams
  • Strong understanding of EdTech/education markets or demonstrated ability to quickly master new industries
  • Must be located in the U.S. or Canada and willing to spend at least one week per month in Austin, TX.
