Senior Admissions Advisor   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most enrollment positions focus on throughput. This one is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the most forward-thinking school frameworks in existence. Our locations integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Students routinely achieve learning gains that exceed national norms, supported by measurable data. Afternoons are dedicated to depth, autonomy, and the development of practical competencies. The model is effective. But its effectiveness depends entirely on enrolling the right families.

This is your responsibility.

You will manage the complete enrollment experience for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and continuing through onboarding. This is not a role where you hand off tasks. You are accountable for how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether enrollment decisions are made with sound rationale. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when that is the appropriate course. The objective is not enrollment maximization. The objective is precise alignment.

We welcome candidates from distinguished service sectors outside conventional education: independent schools, competitive programs, premium hospitality, executive coordination, exclusive membership entities, or entrepreneurial operators who have directly overseen high-value client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capability to execute a refined, multi-phase process with sound judgment, clarity, and consistent follow-through.

If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where trust, discretion, and experience quality shape the brand, this role will resonate with you—simply applied to work that generates measurable impact.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are recruiting in La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, South Bay. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment lifecycle for prospective families, from initial outreach through final onboarding.
  • Facilitating discovery conversations to evaluate compatibility before offering solutions or suggesting subsequent actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements at varying phases of the enrollment cycle, maintaining transparent tracking of status and follow-up requirements.
  • Directing campus visits, student shadow sessions, and enrollment dialogues that articulate outcomes, expectations, and the intended audience for the model.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, task prioritization, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Accepting families who are poorly suited just to meet enrollment targets.
  • Supervising a sizable team or operating within complex approval hierarchies.
  • Distributing accountability for the family experience across multiple team members.
  • Operating remotely. This position is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Take full ownership of a high-trust, selective enrollment process that successfully converts aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and academic performance of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand standing (education, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership, or independently operated services).
  • Proven accountability for a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial engagement through onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family accounts at distinct phases, supported by a reliable system for tracking and prioritization.
  • Capacity to offer specific examples of consultative decision-making, including instances where you advised against your product or service due to misalignment.
  • Professional written correspondence experience with senior leadership, high-net-worth clientele, or discerning clients.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these areas: La Jolla, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Marin County, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; or South Bay, CA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience with selective independent school admissions or competitive program enrollment.
  • Background in premium hospitality, VIP guest relations, or executive-level support functions.
  • Experience designing or enhancing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service benchmarks.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion quality, not merely velocity.
