Head of Financial Planning & Analysis   $200,000 USD/year

Description

This is financial planning and analysis reimagined for operational teams.

At 2 Hour Learning, you won't spend time explaining outdated budgets or depending on business intelligence resources. You will construct the financial models, real-time dashboards, and control mechanisms that deliver the visibility operators and leadership require to act decisively—every day. Your output influences everything from new school openings to major strategy shifts, and it must be rapid, precise, and dependable.

You'll manage a dynamic, AI-enhanced financial system. This includes consolidated P&L frameworks for every school and business line, continuous 12–18 month projections that remain current within 72 hours, and dashboards that isolate the critical two or three drivers that truly matter. You will create all of this using Klair, Syft, and Retool—without relying on engineering resources.

If you seek a role where your financial models inform action rather than merely document it, this position is for you. You won't observe from the periphery. You will be central to how we operate and advance.

What you will be doing

  • Construct and maintain integrated 3-statement financial models for every school and vertical — linking enrollment projections, workforce planning, and capital expenditures into a unified forecast.
  • Refresh continuous 12–18 month projections on a weekly basis using current data and scenario-model upside and downside exposures.
  • Create executive dashboards powered by live data — surfacing primary levers and supporting confident, day-to-day decision-making.
  • Leverage AI and automation to identify anomalies, monitor variances, and remove spreadsheet inefficiencies throughout finance operations.
  • Produce concise memoranda summarizing financial exposure, strategic alternatives, and budgetary impacts — at a board-ready standard, within 72 hours.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Administering a sluggish budgeting cycle — your projections adapt alongside the business in real time.
  • Enforcing cost center rules or tracking down expense receipts — your focus is on transparency and oversight, not red tape.
  • Depending on BI teams — you create the tools, dashboards, and models independently.
  • Getting lost in irrelevant details — your role is to highlight the small number of insights that shift outcomes.
  • Generating reports that go unread — your deliverables inform decisions within days.

Key responsibilities

Provide continuously updated financial models, forecasts, and dashboards that enable daily decision-making and strategic insight across a fast-expanding network of schools.

  • Based in the U.S. and authorized to work without sponsorship

  • Demonstrated experience building integrated 3-statement models aligned with U.S. GAAP
  • Capable of delivering investor-grade analysis and recommendations under compressed timelines
  • Has independently created automated finance systems using AI and low-code platforms

Nice to have

  • CPA/CFA/MBA certification
  • ERP experience with NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
  • Familiarity with multi-site education, facilities management, or operations-intensive sectors

  • Background in premium service environments with rigorous financial standards
