We are looking for a Technical Development Owner (TDO) who will be accountable for the success of the deployment of enterprise software solution in our largest accounts.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Technical Delivery Owner (TDO) is the most senior technical leader in our professional services organization and is the technology go-to-person for the customer. The TDO is accountable for the success of the deployment of enterprise software solution in our largest accounts. This role is primarily client facing so great communication skills and experience working with customer executives is essential.

As the owner for the architecture and technical delivery of multi-million dollar solutions for our largest clients, you effectively work as the Chief Architect of the platform. The TDO engages closely with key customers for business requirements, creating E2E scoping to fulfill the customer needs and delivering the end solution to assure customer success. The position is only a great fit for someone who takes a truly hands-on approach to solutions engineering and consulting.

ONLINE HIRING EVENT



A hiring event is a scheduled online event where all our relevant testing relating to a role is conducted on the same day. Submissions received during the event are graded the following week, and successful candidates notified if they have progressed to the next round which is an online interview with a Hiring Manager.

 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be expected to:
Evaluate, design, build, and integrate, solutions based on customer’s Engage in technical business discussions and solution architecture with C-level executives at our largest customers and prospective clients.

Create architecture, algorithms, and designs for solutions that scale to the customer’s requirements.

Maintain accountability for the technical delivery of the solution, including personally owning the resolution of the most technically challenging issues - working closely with various teams to ensure timely delivery.

Support the sales teams to drive upsell in the account or new sales in new opportunities by assisting in technical presentations, demos and value proposition messages.

Interface with R&D to provide estimates that match our customer needs to our products, review the scope of the proposal while ensuring alignment internally and externally.

Lead a cross-functional team of Developers, Consultants, System Integrators working across all elements of solution delivery.
 
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences

Perfect spoken English

10+ years of hands-on engineering/software technical experience with large-scale enterprise software companies

5+ years of extensive client facing technical lead role working in Telco, BSS/OSS applications

5+ B2B SaaS professional services lead role

10+ years writing unit tests

5+ years of experience leading and mentoring junior developers

Managed technical teams of at least 5+ individual contributors

Successful delivery record as Delivery Manager/Owner, Solution Designer or Architect

Excellent understanding of current enterprise software technologies and development practices/tools, including virtual environments, source control, remote development, issue tracking, build and test automation, and networking management

Experience managing remote teams and customers


Optional skills that will assist your application:
Understanding cloud-native applications and cloud deployments such as public, private, etc.

Experience as an architect/pre-sales for a large telco deployment at a large company
 
 
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
 

You will learn how to handle complex services improving current performance and deal with a 100% remote an international team. You will lead an expert consulting team that will provide business, techno-functional implementation and strategic consulting across our portfolio using PS best practices and our Worksmart productivity tool to create data-driven action plans.

You will be playing a key role in the company,  as currently, our revenue from PS is a significant portion of the business that we serve. We do not have centralized Trilogy offerings that we can offer to Trilogy dozens of sister companies, which provide their own PS offerings to their customers. We want to have a repeatable centralized service, and better quality, with continuously improving costs. We aim to continuously improve quality and costs, so we can change the business model. You will be the executor of a game changer strategy for Trilogy sister companies and their customers

and Answers

  • How will the companies be split among TDOs, based on the industry/size/…? What types of companies will I be managing?

    As a TDO you will be managing a set of software companies, but we do no clear splits based on Companies or verticals. Typically we do clear split based on processes. That's one of the things that makes our company different than most companies, where you get a region, or you get a customer, or you get vertical. In this role, your primary responsibility will be a process, and you will own that whole process that will also cover companies typically across multiple regions, multiple languages, multiple verticals. So, there won't be a clear split, to get a company or a set of companies; but a clear objective of continuously improving a process or a set of professional services processes.

  • Why are you not hiring internally? Are there any internal issues (cultural, political, etc.)?

    We are hiring internally. If we have top performers of professional services qualified for the TDO position, we would have them apply on Crossover and go through the interviewing process. When we recruit for the TDO of Professional Services, we are comparing all candidates. It's an equal opportunity: external people can apply, as well as, internal candidates. We are making merit-based objective decisions about whom we think is going to be the best fit for this role.

  • Is there any travel required for the position?

    We’re a fully remote organization, we travel for customer visits, but we do not travel or relocate for internal purposes. So we may say travel is zero for this position.

  • Why is there so much growth so fast, what does this involve?

    It involves the owner's appetite for growth. These Companies also believe that the organizational model which is in place allows for economies of scale the bigger they grow. Therefore with growth, the cost per unit of output will decrease.

  • What challenges will you face as a TDO of professional services?

    You must be flexible to handle challenges with a company that is facing an incredible growth and several internal changes. You will do this by collaborating with different PS teams and gather qualified information for the GAP analysis.
