Description

Startups are all the rage these days. Teenagers are keen to convert great ideas into innovative businesses but don't know how to run a company, and the standard high school curriculum will not help. If you are an energetic business person interested in fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

At gt.school, we develop tools that unlock the full potential of gifted and talented children. One of these tools is BETA Camp, a virtual program for high school students to learn about business, tech, and entrepreneurship in the best way possible: by creating successful startups.

In this role, you will be fully responsible for delivering the program and student experience. Guided by an established curriculum, you will prepare and lead live sessions, engage with students, and build a network of counselors and world-renowned industry mentors, helping students to create successful companies and master valuable business concepts.

If you are ready to use your experience to scale an entrepreneurship incubator, we invite you to join our team!

What you will be doing

  • Delivering the curriculum: leading discussions and live sessions and managing startup progress, supporting students as needed.
  • Engaging with students: you will establish communication channels for students and promote productive dialogue
  • Improving the program: using feedback from students and mentors, you will improve the curriculum and constantly add new content, examples, and case studies to keep it relevant

What you will NOT be doing

  • Building a program from scratch. We have an established curriculum to guide you.
  • Being a classroom teacher. While you will answer student questions regarding the concepts and lead sessions, you are not expected to minister in classes

Key responsibilities

Ensuring gt.school students master entrepreneurship by creating their own successful startups.

Candidate requirements

  • A degree in Business, Business Administration, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, or a related field that covers basic business concepts.
  • Experience in a start-up developing a revenue-generating technical product from ideation to launch.
  • Capable of understanding and relating to gifted high school students and providing them with concrete feedback
  • Availability during afternoon and evening hours during the week and some additional weekend hours in a US time zone.
