In what ways have you grown professionally during your time at Crossover?
Albert Einstein once said: “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” That’s how I would describe my professional growth at Crossover; it has been a rollercoaster so far and I have loved the ride.
Since joining in January 2017, I have been constantly put into all sort of situations, projects, and tasks that have made me a better professional. Taking on additional tasks have exposed me to new skills like dealing with marketing agencies on a global scale and much more.
The client to which I am assigned within Crossover is a great SMB company, which gave me the opportunity to be in contact with various teams and their stakeholders. From improving my communication and social skills to acquiring new marketing and technical competences, I’ve done it all with Crossover!
Tell us about your team. How have your colleagues (teammates, managers, direct reports) helped you grow?
I feel very lucky to be part of Crossover as I have grown so much in a relatively short period of time and learned a lot from all the great people I work with. What I love about my team and all the people I have been working with from this company, so far, is that the job interactions are based on trust and cooperation. Every time I need information or support from them for a specific task, I always get even more than I initially asked.
What were you looking for when you decided to join Crossover?
I was looking for a role where I was given a satisfactory level of decisions making, and when I saw the role description it was a “this is it!” moment. After reading all the information and browsing the internet about Crossover and the company for which I was supposed to work for, I decided it worth allocating some time for the application. Of course, another important reason for which I decided to try my luck was the salary offer which was significantly higher than what I was earning at that time.
Has your compensation at Crossover impacted your lifestyle in any meaningful way?
Seriously, it’s been a fairytale story. Before joining Crossover, I felt buried in debt and dreamed of catching up with payments and finally being financially free. I came across a Crossover job announcement and by that time, I was working for Bitdefender. I said “let’s give it a shot. I have nothing to lose, only to win.” I applied and went through all the interview steps and when I got the announcement email and read I was accepted… It was a once-in-a-lifetime feeling.
I felt so relieved, happy and invincible. I could not believe I was able to finally be out of debt and start adding cash to my bank account. Since then, my life has completely changed. I am finally able to release all that stress and worries I had of having too much month and no money.
