Learning and Development Manager   $150,000 USD/year

Description

TRANSFORM THE FUTURE OF EDUCATION AS A LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT CHAMPION

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person employee role located at our Austin, Texas campus. Relocation assistance is available.

Elite coaches don't just build teams—they forge champions. At Sports Academy in Austin, we're revolutionizing K-8 education by fusing AI-driven academics with intensive sports training. We need a Learning & Development Manager who can develop our team of Guides to deliver twice the educational impact in half the time.

Our pioneering private institution powered by 2hr Learning doesn't employ ordinary teachers—we assemble exceptional Guides who transform young athletes into tomorrow's leaders. Through cutting-edge adaptive technology and motivational strategies rooted in learning science, we're creating an educational model where excellence isn't just taught—it's lived.

You've already proven you can achieve what others consider impossible. You've shattered records, revitalized organizations, and unlocked human potential through a powerful combination of ambitious goals, relentless execution, and motivational leadership. Now channel that expertise into reshaping education and inspiring the next generation of champions.

What you will be doing

  • Coach Elite Performance: Provide personalized, actionable feedback to your team of Alpha Guides that measurably improves their daily performance, directly amplifying student achievement and engagement.
  • Architect Success Systems: Create comprehensive Guide Playbooks that codify best practices for facilitation, establish frameworks for designing high-impact learning activities, and provide strategic solutions for complex challenges.
  • Transform Student Trajectories: Lead a select cohort of students, demonstrating your expertise in motivation and personalized coaching to convert even reluctant learners into academic high-performers.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating Basic Curriculum: While others focus on lesson plans, you'll operate at a higher level—training Guides to become exceptional facilitators who leverage our adaptive learning platforms and create transformative enrichment experiences.
  • Compromising Excellence: When our standard is 100%, 99% is insufficient. You'll maintain unwavering quality standards while creating pathways for exceptional achievement, whether that means helping a Guide improve or enabling a 6th grader to access college-level coursework.
  • Delivering Passive Training: Forget lecture-style professional development. You'll coach through dynamic modeling, demonstrating the precise energy, enthusiasm, and expert facilitation techniques that drive extraordinary outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Train and develop a team of Guides to implement the Sports Academy system with world-class excellence, creating a transformative educational environment that produces both academic champions and exceptional athletes.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • Proven track record of developing professional teams to achieve elite-level performance
  • Demonstrated expertise in data-driven decision-making and performance optimization
  • Established history of successfully engaging with and developing children/teens (ages 5-18)
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Commitment to work in-person at our Austin, TX campus
