Description

Are you currently a high school or university student and enjoy learning and studying advanced biology? Have you taken the AP Biology course and crushed it? If the answer to both of these questions is yes, keep on reading - we might have the dream opportunity for you!

At GT School, we're pursuing the vision of using process, tools, and the latest technology to teach AP Biology better than any other AP Prep Program in the world.

We are looking for students that have received a 5 on the AP Biology AP exam to help us evaluate the latest biology learning and assessment apps and give us feedback; Additionally we need students to research and build a library of the best available online learning resources for targeted biology topics.

What you will be doing

  • Reviewing biology learning apps and sharing your feedback on the thoroughness and depth of their learning content
  • Taking biology assessments and tests to validate their correctness and calibrate them to the ability of typical gt.school students
  • Researching online for the best alternate learning content for targeted biology topics

Key responsibilities

  • This job is 100% remote; you will need a computer and an Internet connection to do
  • You can do the work at any convenient time during the week as long as you can work a minimum of 10 hours every week
  • You will need to install time tracking software (WorkSmart) to log the time you are actively working - we're a fully remote organization and all of our employees use this software.
  • You will work on various academic work units to build content for our AP Prep Program in your AP Biology Program Tracker spreadsheet.
  • There will be 1 AP weekly meeting per week to meet with your fellow Student Analysts and gt Content Experts, and there will be multiple AP live sessions to attend as part of our program.
  • You will be the link between the gt Content Experts (high school interns also doing the same work as you) and the Program Director. Our gt Content Experts work on average 3 hours per week, so we’ll require you to help lead your team in building content as a ‘team captain’.

Candidate requirements

  • Must currently be in or have graduated from high school in the United States
  • Must currently be a student in high school or university - this job requires being a good proxy for a high school student, which is why we require all candidates to be active students.
  • Must have received a score of 5 on the AP Biology College Board exam - this job requires candidates to be experts at biology; we use the score on AP Biology as a minimum baseline.
    • Note: You’ll be required to submit your official AP score result prior to joining. You’ll also be required to take an AP Biology mastery test and receive >=90% to join our team.
    • Note: Able to consistently work at least 10 hours per week
