AI Professional Services Engineer I   $15,000 USD/year

Description

You build working customer solutions, not isolated features that may never reach a user. You like the hard middle: vague requirements, messy APIs, structured content, authentication flows, migration scripts, and the moment a customer can finally run their workflow end to end. If you want neatly scoped tickets with little customer contact, this is not the right fit.

Quark helps enterprise teams manage complex content workflows. In this role, you will turn customer needs into reliable implementations on the Quark platform: configurations, REST API integrations, webhooks, SSO/SAML connections, XML/XSLT transforms, migrations, and workflow automations. The work is technical, customer-facing, and outcome-based. A good demo is not enough. The solution must work in real conditions, be tested against acceptance criteria, and be clear enough for others to support.

AI is part of how the work gets done. You will use tools such as Claude Code or Cursor to move faster, and you will build practical AI agents, Skill files, or similar automation assets that reduce repeat work. Over time, your impact grows from delivering single implementations to creating reusable delivery patterns that make future customer rollouts faster and more reliable.

If you want hands-on integration work where AI, structured content, and customer value meet, apply now.

What you will be doing

  • Translate customer requirements into technical implementation plans, acceptance criteria, and delivery tasks
  • Configure Quark workflows, structured content models, rules, integrations, and external data-source connections
  • Build and test REST API, webhook, SSO/SAML, XML/XSLT, migration, and scripting-based automation deliverables
  • Diagnose implementation defects by analyzing logs, payloads, authentication flows, transforms, and configuration dependencies
  • Create concise runbooks, handover materials, and walkthroughs that help customers operate the delivered solution

What you will NOT be doing

  • Building unrelated core product features with no direct customer implementation goal
  • Working from vague tickets without clarifying requirements, constraints, and acceptance criteria
  • Applying temporary workarounds without root-cause analysis, validation, and reusable documentation
  • Handing off generic training decks that leave customers dependent on undocumented tribal knowledge
  • Waiting weeks to perfect a solution before showing tested working progress

Key responsibilities

Deliver reliable Quark customer implementations that connect systems, content workflows, and users to measurable customer value.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on software engineering, systems integration, implementation, or technical consulting experience
  • Experience building or troubleshooting REST API and webhook integrations
  • Working knowledge of authentication concepts such as SSO or SAML
  • Practical proficiency with XML and XSLT or an equivalent structured-data transformation technology
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language used for migration, automation, or workflow implementation
  • Regular practical use of AI developer tools such as Claude Code or Cursor
  • Experience building at least one useful AI agent, Skill file, agent definition, or equivalent automation artifact
  • Fluent written and spoken English for customer discovery, requirements clarification, and technical handover
  • Availability for at least 4 hours per day overlapping customer business hours in Europe and the US

Nice to have

  • Experience with content management, publishing platforms, or structured content workflows
  • Experience creating customer-facing technical documentation, runbooks, or implementation handover materials
  • Experience converting ambiguous customer requirements into end-to-end integrations, migrations, or workflow automations
