Executive Coach   $150,000 USD/year

Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a full-time, on-site opportunity located at our vibrant Austin, Texas campus.

Are you prepared to lead a revolution in early childhood education, setting the pace for others to follow? Alpha School in Austin is searching for a remarkable leader who can ignite the curiosity of young minds while empowering a team of Guides to achieve unprecedented heights.

Picture yourself as the coach who not only trains Olympic-level athletes but also competes alongside them, consistently earning perfect scores. That's the caliber of adaptability and excellence we seek. You'll split your time between guiding a cohort of K-2 students and coaching a team of Guides, our passionate professionals who inspire and motivate children, maintaining the highest standards for both groups.

Our 2-Hour Learning initiative blends AI-powered adaptive technology with hands-on mentorship, crafting a truly personalized educational journey. You'll be the linchpin of this system, equally skilled at engaging a 5-year-old in foundational literacy and coaching an adult Guide in advanced facilitation techniques.

At Alpha, we don't just challenge the norm—we redefine it. If you can seamlessly transition from building LEGOs with kindergarteners to conducting data-driven performance evaluations with your team, you're the one we want. Your ability to inspire, motivate, and uplift both children and adults will be the driving force behind transforming education from the ground up.

You'll also take on the most demanding cohort of K-2 students—those who test our limits in various ways. This could include exceptionally advanced learners we're eager to challenge, fiercely independent spirits we're guiding towards collaboration, or students struggling to engage with our tech-based approach. Your role is to align these students' academic goals with their unique motivations, setting the benchmark for personalized learning.

Don't just dream of a better educational system—help us create it. Apply now and be part of the team that's crafting the future of learning. At Alpha, we're not just preparing students for the future; we're shaping it. Are you ready to join us?

What you will be doing

  • Directly mentor a cohort of K-2 students, showcasing world-class facilitation skills in early childhood education.
  • Lead and cultivate a team of Guides, demonstrating exceptional coaching techniques for young learners.
  • Design and implement playbooks that set the gold standard for K-2 education within our innovative learning environment.
  • Provide constructive feedback to your team of Guides, promoting continuous improvement in student engagement and achievement.
  • Leverage AI-driven tools to enhance educational outcomes, bridging the gap between technology and human touch for our youngest learners.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Concentrating solely on either student instruction or team leadership—you'll excel at both concurrently.
  • Settling for mediocrity from students or Guides—you'll maintain sky-high standards across the board.
  • Relying on outdated teaching methods—you'll pioneer new approaches that integrate technology with traditional pedagogical practices.
  • Shying away from challenges—you'll tackle the complexities of early childhood education and team leadership with equal enthusiasm.

Key responsibilities

Champion the development of independent learning and life skills for K-2 students, particularly those presenting unique challenges, while simultaneously elevating a team of Guides to implement the Alpha system with world-class excellence.
