Key responsibilities

This role exists so gifted students consistently achieve measurable, competition-level math results that GT School can celebrate and families can trust.

Description

You’ve solved the hard problems. Now put that skill where it shows: in the hands of gifted students who can compete, qualify, and win.

GT School is built for families who want more than “good grades.” We train gifted learners through real stakes: national and international competitions, public results, and achievements students can carry forward. This role exists because our math program only works when students leave sessions sharper, braver, and ready for contest conditions.

This is not a generic tutoring seat. You will run live virtual workshops that stretch top kids, coach targeted contest prep for events like AMC and AIME, and build reusable materials that raise the bar across GT Anywhere and GT campuses. If you like turning raw talent into measurable outcomes and you can teach advanced ideas with clarity, you will thrive here.

If you have a real record of math excellence and you want to help create the next wave of champions, we would like to meet you.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven elite mathematical achievement (e.g., Olympiad medal, AIME qualification, top national ranking, or equivalent verifiable record)
  • At least 6 months of teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience with clear outcomes
  • Ability to explain advanced math in a simple, intuitive way to gifted young learners
  • Deep understanding of math contest formats, topics, and preparation strategy (e.g., AMC, AIME, Olympiads)
  • Strong virtual teaching presence and ability to engage students over video
  • Commitment to 5–10 hours per week
  • Reliable internet and a professional video setup
