Build and leverage strategic relationships with state education officials to secure charter approvals that enable school expansion in your assigned territory.

Description

Ready to transform education by expanding charter school access to thousands more students? We're an education startup seeking seasoned government relations leaders in California, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Most government relations roles focus on broad policy influence. This one drives organizational growth by securing charter approvals in your state through strategic relationships with education officials and community leaders.

You'll build and leverage deep relationships with state education officials and local stakeholders to secure charter approvals that enable more students to access our innovative school model. This isn't about lobbying for policy change - it's about driving concrete business outcomes through focused relationship-building and coalition development in your region.

We are transforming education through a model that's delivering extraordinary results. Now, we're ready to scale, but we need someone who can fully immerse themselves in their state's education landscape, navigate complex approval processes, and build the relationships needed to expand our impact. You'll work directly with state education leaders while mobilizing community support to bring our model to more students.

If you're ready to leverage your government relations expertise to directly drive educational access in your state, let's talk!

Candidate requirements

  • Proven track record as a state-level lobbyist or advocate, particularly in getting approvals/licenses through state government bodies
  • Existing relationships with state education officials in target states
  • Demonstrated ability to build local coalitions to support advocacy efforts
  • Located in California, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina
  • Willing and able to travel regionally
  • Eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
