Director of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

While most enrollment positions prioritize volume, this role is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most ambitious educational frameworks. Our locations integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students reliably progress beyond national averages, supported by measurable evidence. Afternoons shift toward deeper exploration, autonomy, and practical competency development. The framework delivers results. But success depends entirely on selecting appropriate families. Your responsibility begins here.

You will control the complete admissions pathway for one campus, spanning initial application to final enrollment. This is not a segmented position. You determine how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp our approach, and whether enrollment choices stem from sound reasoning. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when warranted. Maximum headcount is not the objective. Strategic alignment is.

We welcome applicants from elite service sectors outside conventional education: independent schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership institutions, or entrepreneurs who have directly overseen premium client experiences from beginning to end. The determining factor is your capability to execute a consultative, phased process with discernment, transparency, and reliable execution. If your professional experience centers on delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and experience caliber shape brand identity, this position will resonate. Apply now to apply that benchmark to meaningful work.

What you will be doing

  • Directing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, beginning with initial outreach and concluding with onboarding.
  • Facilitating diagnostic conversations to establish compatibility prior to offering recommendations or outlining subsequent actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across varied enrollment phases, with transparent tracking of progress and scheduled communications.
  • Guiding campus visits, observational sessions, and enrollment discussions that articulate results, responsibilities, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Sustaining precise CRM documentation and enrollment databases (HubSpot and SIS) to enable projections, sequencing, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Admitting incompatible families solely to satisfy numerical targets.
  • Supervising sizable teams or navigating multi-tier authorization structures.
  • Transferring accountability for family engagement to distributed functions.
  • Operating remotely. This position requires on-campus presence by intent.

Key responsibilities

Direct and deliver a high-integrity, selective enrollment process that successfully enrolls appropriate families while safeguarding the credibility and academic performance of the Alpha framework.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing elite, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences organizational reputation (education, premium hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership, or independently owned service businesses).
  • Proven accountability for a complete client, admissions, or enrollment lifecycle spanning initial interaction to final onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently stewarding 20+ client, guest, or family accounts across multiple stages, supported by a systematic approach to monitoring and prioritization.
  • Capacity to furnish specific instances of advisory decision-making, including occasions when you counseled against your offering due to poor alignment.
  • Professional correspondence proficiency with C-level executives, affluent individuals, or discerning clientele.
  • Readiness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these regions: Malibu, CA; Los Angeles, CA; or Santa Barbara, CA.
  • Authorization for employment in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience with competitive private school admissions or selective program recruitment.
  • History in premium hospitality, VIP client services, or C-suite support positions.
  • Experience designing or optimizing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment alignment, not merely throughput.
