Enrollment Director   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most enrollment positions focus on volume. This one is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is developing one of the most forward-thinking school models globally. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Students routinely achieve learning gains that exceed national averages, with measurable results to confirm it. Afternoon hours are dedicated to deeper exploration, independent work, and practical skill development. The model is effective. But its success depends entirely on the right family partnerships.

This is your entry point.

You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus, beginning with initial inquiries and continuing through onboarding. This is not a role with fragmented ownership. You are accountable for the family experience, the clarity with which they grasp our model, and ensuring enrollment choices are made with full understanding. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not maximizing numbers. The objective is achieving mutual fit.

We welcome applicants from high-caliber service backgrounds outside conventional education: independent schools, competitive admissions programs, upscale hospitality, executive concierge services, exclusive membership-based organizations, or entrepreneurial operators who have directly overseen sophisticated client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capability to execute a detailed, phased engagement with discernment, precision, and accountability.

If your career has been defined by delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and experience quality are integral to the brand, this role will resonate—simply channeled toward work that genuinely influences outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are currently hiring in Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, Orange County, Roswell, Chicago, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Dallas-Fort Worth. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of the enrollment process for prospective families, spanning initial outreach through final onboarding.
  • Facilitating exploratory conversations to evaluate alignment before offering recommendations or advancing to subsequent stages.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across varying phases of the enrollment cycle, with transparent tracking and timely follow-through.
  • Guiding campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment dialogues that articulate results, standards, and the families best suited to our approach.
  • Keeping CRM and student information systems (HubSpot and SIS) current and precise to enable forecasting, prioritization, and sustained service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Accepting families who do not align with our model just to meet enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or working through complex approval hierarchies.
  • Distributing responsibility for the family journey across multiple staff members.
  • Operating remotely. This position is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a high-integrity, selective enrollment process that attracts and secures aligned families while safeguarding the reputation and effectiveness of the Alpha educational model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing exceptional, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly shapes brand perception (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated services).
  • Proven responsibility for managing a complete client, admissions, or enrollment lifecycle from initial inquiry to final onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently coordinating 20+ client, guest, or family interactions at varied progression points, supported by a reliable tracking and prioritization method.
  • Capacity to share specific instances of advisory decision-making, including occasions when you recommended against your own offering due to poor fit.
  • Professional writing experience engaging senior leaders, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; Orange County, CA; Roswell, GA; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; or Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive private school admissions or selective program enrollment.
  • Background in upscale hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level support functions.
  • Experience designing or refining enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment quality, not merely throughput.
