Learning Specialist   $60,000 USD/year

Description

This role is for individuals who believe education must operate with greater speed, precision, and accountability.

2 Hour Learning condenses the traditional full school day into concentrated, high-yield learning sessions. Success depends on making academic decisions that are accurate, immediate, and fully owned. This position was created to deliver that: converting raw student performance information into decisive action while providing direct, trust-based coaching that eliminates obstacles quickly.

You will operate where data interpretation meets personal engagement. At times you'll be evaluating performance metrics to identify risk signals early and defend placement choices with solid rationale. At other times, you'll work face-to-face with students, identifying confusion on the spot and guiding them forward before minor setbacks escalate into major failures. This is an active, outcomes-driven position—not one of passive observation.

This position suits those who seek immediate evidence of their impact. If you value ownership, prefer working directly with learners, and find satisfaction in enabling students to learn twice as efficiently through sharper decision-making, this environment will fit you well.

Apply if you want your contributions to be visible within days, not months.

What you will be doing

  • Evaluate student performance information to generate clear, actionable academic summaries that prompt timely intervention
  • Take full ownership of academic results for your designated student cohort, including decisions on placement, testing, and corrective measures
  • Deliver fast-paced academic rescue interventions that uncover underlying issues and remove learning obstacles immediately
  • Lead post-assessment coaching meetings to distinguish true knowledge deficits from simple errors and prescribe precise follow-up actions
  • Partner with academic leadership and family support teams to flag emerging risks and refine tools or workflows

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating reports that sit unused
  • Operating exclusively in the background with no direct student contact
  • Delegating academic accountability to instructors, tutors, or families
  • Facilitating unfocused tutoring without explicit diagnostic intent
  • Delaying action on student challenges for weeks at a time

Key responsibilities

Provide precise, prompt academic analysis and student-directed interventions that demonstrably improve learning velocity for your assigned student groups.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 1 year in a coaching, instructional, or training capacity with documented results or formal feedback
  • Minimum 1 year of direct, sustained work with K–8 students (sporadic tutoring does not meet this standard)
  • Proven background in data science, education, EdTech, or student services that blends analytical and relational responsibilities
  • Fluent communication in both Ukrainian and English, spoken and written
  • Advanced competency in Google Sheets, including lookups, filters, pivot tables, and charting
  • High emotional intelligence and the capacity to establish trust rapidly with students and families
  • Confirmed use of AI tools to analyze data or streamline processes with quantifiable productivity improvements
