Curriculum Specialist   $60,000 USD/year

Description

This role is built for individuals who believe education should advance with greater speed, precision, and accountability.

2 Hour Learning condenses the traditional school day into concentrated, high-impact learning sessions. Achieving this requires academic decisions that are accurate, timely, and fully owned. This position exists to fulfill that need: transform complex student data into actionable insights and deliver direct, trust-based student coaching that eliminates obstacles quickly.

You will operate at the convergence of data analysis and personal engagement. In one instance, you'll be interpreting performance metrics to identify risk signals early and support placement decisions with sound rationale. In another, you'll be working directly with a student, diagnosing misunderstandings on the spot and helping them progress before minor challenges escalate into significant setbacks. This is not a passive analytical function. You own the results.

This position suits individuals who seek immediate evidence of their contributions. If you value accountability, enjoy direct student interaction, and are motivated by enabling children to learn twice as efficiently through informed decision-making, this environment will align with your strengths.

Consider applying if you want your contributions to be visible within days, not months.

What you will be doing

  • Interpret student performance data to generate clear, actionable academic reports that support timely interventions
  • Take ownership of academic outcomes for a designated student cohort, including placement decisions, testing protocols, and follow-through actions
  • Facilitate rapid academic intervention sessions that uncover root causes and eliminate learning obstacles in real time
  • Lead post-assessment coaching conversations to distinguish knowledge deficits from execution errors and prescribe focused next steps
  • Partner with academic leadership and parent support teams to escalate concerns and refine tools or workflows

What you will NOT be doing

  • Producing reports that remain unused
  • Operating exclusively in back-office functions without student contact
  • Delegating academic accountability to teachers, tutors, or families
  • Facilitating general tutoring sessions lacking clear diagnostic intent
  • Delaying responses to emerging student challenges by weeks

Key responsibilities

Provide precise, timely academic analysis and direct student interventions that demonstrably accelerate learning progress for assigned student populations.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 1 year in a coaching, instructional, or training capacity with documented results or feedback
  • Minimum 1 year of substantive, hands-on experience working directly with K–8 students (sporadic tutoring does not meet this criterion)
  • Proven background in data science, education, EdTech, or student support functions that integrate analysis with interpersonal engagement
  • Fluency in both spoken and written Ukrainian and English
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, including lookups, filters, pivot tables, and charting
  • High emotional intelligence with the capacity to establish trust rapidly with students and parents
  • Documented use of AI to analyze data or streamline workflows with quantifiable efficiency improvements
