Professional Services Engineer   $15,000 USD/year

Description

You deliver complete customer solutions, not isolated features that remain disconnected from real use. You thrive in the challenging middle ground: ambiguous requirements, imperfect APIs, structured content, authentication workflows, migration logic, and the critical moment when a customer successfully executes their end-to-end process. If you prefer neatly defined tickets with minimal customer interaction, this role is not the right match.

Quark enables enterprise organizations to orchestrate complex content workflows. In this position, you will transform customer requirements into dependable implementations on the Quark platform: system configurations, REST API integrations, webhook connections, SSO/SAML setups, XML/XSLT transformations, data migrations, and workflow automation. The work is hands-on, customer-engaged, and results-driven. A polished demonstration is insufficient. The solution must function under actual operating conditions, pass acceptance testing, and be documented clearly enough for ongoing support by others.

AI is integral to how you accomplish this work. You will leverage tools like Claude Code or Cursor to accelerate delivery, and you will design practical AI agents, Skill files, or comparable automation artifacts that eliminate repetitive tasks. As you progress, your contribution evolves from completing individual implementations to establishing reusable delivery frameworks that accelerate and improve future customer deployments.

If you seek direct integration work where AI, structured content, and customer outcomes converge, submit your application now.

What you will be doing

  • Convert customer requirements into structured implementation plans, defined acceptance criteria, and actionable delivery tasks
  • Configure Quark workflows, structured content architectures, business rules, integrations, and connections to external data sources
  • Develop and validate REST API integrations, webhook connections, SSO/SAML authentication, XML/XSLT transformations, migration scripts, and automation-based deliverables
  • Troubleshoot implementation issues by examining logs, data payloads, authentication sequences, transformation logic, and configuration interdependencies
  • Produce clear runbooks, transition documentation, and instructional materials that enable customers to manage the delivered solution

What you will NOT be doing

  • Developing unrelated product features that have no connection to direct customer implementation objectives
  • Executing vague task assignments without first clarifying requirements, constraints, and success criteria
  • Implementing quick fixes without conducting root-cause analysis, validation testing, and creating reusable documentation
  • Delivering generic training materials that leave customers reliant on undocumented internal knowledge
  • Delaying progress for weeks to achieve perfection before demonstrating tested, functional results

Key responsibilities

Deliver dependable Quark customer implementations that integrate systems, content workflows, and end users to achieve measurable customer value.

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of practical software engineering, systems integration, implementation, or technical consulting experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing or diagnosing REST API and webhook integrations
  • Functional understanding of authentication frameworks such as SSO or SAML
  • Applied proficiency with XML and XSLT or a comparable structured-data transformation technology
  • Competence in at least one scripting or programming language applied to migration, automation, or workflow implementation tasks
  • Consistent practical use of AI development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor
  • Proven experience building at least one functional AI agent, Skill file, agent definition, or equivalent automation artifact
  • Fluent written and verbal English for customer discovery, requirements elicitation, and technical transition activities
  • Ability to maintain at least 4 hours per day of overlap with customer business hours in Europe and the US

Nice to have

  • Background with content management systems, publishing platforms, or structured content workflows
  • Experience producing customer-facing technical documentation, operational runbooks, or implementation transition materials
  • Track record of translating vague customer requirements into complete integrations, migrations, or workflow automations
