Implementation Engineer   $15,000 USD/year

Description

You deliver complete customer solutions, not isolated features that may never see real-world use. You thrive in the challenging middle ground: ambiguous requirements, inconsistent APIs, structured content, authentication flows, migration scripts, and the critical moment when a customer's workflow finally runs end to end. If you prefer neatly defined tickets with minimal customer interaction, this role is not for you.

Quark enables enterprise teams to manage complex content workflows. In this position, you will transform customer requirements into dependable implementations on the Quark platform: configurations, REST API integrations, webhooks, SSO/SAML connections, XML/XSLT transforms, migrations, and workflow automations. The work is technical, customer-facing, and results-driven. A polished demo is insufficient. The solution must function under real conditions, pass acceptance testing, and be documented clearly enough for others to maintain.

AI is integral to how this work is executed. You will leverage tools like Claude Code or Cursor to accelerate delivery, and you will develop practical AI agents, Skill files, or comparable automation assets that eliminate repetitive work. Over time, your contribution evolves from completing individual implementations to establishing reusable delivery patterns that accelerate future customer rollouts and improve reliability.

If you are seeking hands-on integration work at the intersection of AI, structured content, and customer value, apply now.

What you will be doing

  • Convert customer requirements into technical implementation plans, acceptance criteria, and actionable delivery tasks
  • Configure Quark workflows, structured content models, business rules, integrations, and connections to external data sources
  • Develop and validate REST API, webhook, SSO/SAML, XML/XSLT, migration, and script-based automation deliverables
  • Troubleshoot implementation issues by examining logs, payloads, authentication flows, transforms, and configuration dependencies
  • Produce clear runbooks, handover documentation, and walkthroughs that enable customers to operate the delivered solution

What you will NOT be doing

  • Developing unrelated core product features disconnected from direct customer implementation objectives
  • Executing vague tickets without first clarifying requirements, constraints, and acceptance criteria
  • Implementing temporary workarounds without performing root-cause analysis, validation, and creating reusable documentation
  • Delivering generic training decks that leave customers reliant on undocumented tribal knowledge
  • Delaying progress for weeks to achieve perfection before demonstrating tested, working functionality

Key responsibilities

Deliver dependable Quark customer implementations that integrate systems, content workflows, and users to achieve measurable customer value.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on software engineering, systems integration, implementation, or technical consulting experience
  • Experience building or troubleshooting REST API and webhook integrations
  • Working knowledge of authentication concepts such as SSO or SAML
  • Practical proficiency with XML and XSLT or an equivalent structured-data transformation technology
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language used for migration, automation, or workflow implementation
  • Regular practical use of AI developer tools such as Claude Code or Cursor
  • Experience building at least one useful AI agent, Skill file, agent definition, or equivalent automation artifact
  • Fluent written and spoken English for customer discovery, requirements clarification, and technical handover
  • Availability for at least 4 hours per day overlapping customer business hours in Europe and the US

Nice to have

  • Experience with content management, publishing platforms, or structured content workflows
  • Experience creating customer-facing technical documentation, runbooks, or implementation handover materials
  • Experience converting ambiguous customer requirements into end-to-end integrations, migrations, or workflow automations
