Founder-in-Residence   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Imagine a school where core academics happen in two laser-focused hours and the rest of the day is eSports strategy, Minecraft civics, and real-world quests that build agency better than any lecture. We built it in Austin; it outperforms traditional benchmarks and parents are clamoring for more.

Your mission: embed with the flagship campus, extract what makes it click, and build a data-proven, enrollment-hungry system that parents demand. Every new city fills its seats fast while matching the flagship’s learning gains. You’ll design, validate, and codify every component, then tell the story so families, investors, and media line up.

This is a ground-floor ownership role for someone who has already driven at least $1 million in annual revenue at a scaling venture and wants to reinvent education for a student population they know firsthand. Ready to build the future families actually want to buy? Apply below.

What you will be doing

  • Distill the flagship into a repeatable operating system—curriculum scaffolds, staffing ratios, tech stack, launch timeline—backed by clear success metrics.
  • Define quality and culture guardrails; document standards and rituals that keep every campus excellent while preserving its local vibe.
  • Run rapid pilots in new markets; hit enrollment, retention, and learning KPIs, then lock the playbook for national rollout.
  • Own the go-to-market narrative: demo days, parent town-halls, podcasts, and investor decks that convert curiosity into signed contracts.
  • Leverage GenAI to generate marketing assets, automate micro-assessments, and surface insights that speed scale without sacrificing quality.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating a one-off campus or pilot—this is about repeatable models and scalable frameworks.
  • Tinkering with curriculum or running day-to-day academic operations.
  • Replicating traditional education structures or classroom norms.
  • Working in a model you don't fully believe in—this role demands conviction in our philosophy and mission.
  • Settling for local success without a national growth vision.

Key responsibilities

Create, validate, and scale a multi-campus school model that delivers flagship-level outcomes, rapid enrollment growth, and strong parent demand nationwide.

Candidate requirements

  • Founder or early operator who owned over $1 million in annual revenue and has a personal or professional tie to our specialized learner community.
  • Documented record of turning zero-to-one ideas into fast-growing businesses, including public evangelism that drives demand.
  • Deep understanding of alternative learning paradigms (eSports leagues, gamified mastery, virtual academies).
  • Charismatic storyteller comfortable on stage, on camera, and in long-form content.
  • Power-user of GenAI for analysis, design, and productivity.
  • Data-driven decision-maker who builds systems, measures what matters, and iterates fast.
  • Based in the US and able to travel to Austin regularly (approx. 1 week/month).
  • Eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
