Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an in-person role located in Austin, TX. Relocation assistance may be available.

Are you passionate about shaping young minds in their formative years? Alpha seeks dynamic individuals to influence the learning journey of K-2 students, setting the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

At Alpha, instructing students in a typical classroom is a concept of the past. We've reimagined education to put our learners in the driver's seat, with you as their guide and mentor. Alpha’s 2-Hour Learning program leverages adaptive learning apps to condense academics into a two-hour block each morning. What about the afternoons? Kids engage in immersive ‘workshops’ – interactive learning experiences where they learn valuable life skills that traditional education often misses.

In this role, you will lead fun and challenging workshops, such as:

  • Mad Scientist: where eager young minds get hands-on with experiments, creating fizzing chemical reactions, building simple circuits, and watching physics in action.
  • Can You Hang?: where it’s all about resilience and grit - imagine kids mastering solving a Rubik's cube in record time or learning the art of juggling.

You'll be a motivational coach fostering a culture of self-guided learning, helping K-2 students connect their innate curiosity with practical, real-world applications.

Why choose Alpha?

  • Competitive pay - we believe you shouldn't take a pay cut to work in education
  • Generous benefits and time off - we value our team and offer a comprehensive benefits package and paid time off
  • Growth and learning culture - we model the growth & learning we expect our students to embrace, so you'll receive coaching, training, and opportunities for leadership
  • Relocation assistance available for highly qualified candidates

If you're eager to inspire young minds and make a genuine impact in early childhood education - this is your call. Apply now and be part of an educational movement that redefines learning!

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating a unique learning environment where K-2 students take the lead, using adaptive apps to pursue their academic goals
  • Conducting workshops to teach life skills like resilience, problem-solving, and collaboration, tailored for our youngest learners
  • Mentoring students to develop a love for school in early childhood

What you will NOT be doing

🚫 Teaching in a classroom - our approach is centered on student-led learning

🚫 Lengthy lectures that leave kids uninspired - you’ll engage in interactive, hands-on educational experiences

🚫 Following a one-size-fits-all curriculum - you’ll support an adaptive learning process that caters to the individual needs of each child
