Events & Community Marketing Specialist   $60,000 USD/year

Description

Corporate event planning is broken. Most companies still treat it like a low-stakes side project, running disjointed webinars, posting random updates to Slack groups, and calling it a "community strategy." The result is that customers feel ignored, engagement is weak, and churn rates climb. Despite the fact that 79% of B2B marketers say webinars are their best lead generation tool and that active communities can increase customer retention by over 30%, few organizations run these programs with the consistency or quality that actually moves business outcomes.

We’re not doing that. At IgniteTech, AI isn’t a toy; it’s the backbone of how we scale world-class customer experiences. We run events and communities like a precision engine — fast, repeatable, and brand-aligned — powered by a smart blend of templates, automation, and GenAI tools like ChatGPT and Jasper. It’s about operating with relentless speed and clarity without sacrificing human touch. The goal isn’t just "more content" or "more posts"; it’s driving real customer retention, engagement, and advocacy with tech that amplifies your ability to deliver.

In this role, you’re not here to throw up a few Zoom links, schedule some filler posts, and call it a day. You’re here to run a scalable, AI-augmented marketing machine that delivers high-quality events, keeps online communities vibrant and alive, and fuels retention and growth. If you’re excited about getting hands-on with marketing automation, live event ops, and AI-powered content creation, and you crave structure, clarity, and speed, you’ll love it. If you’re looking for a traditional marketing coordinator role where “creativity” means making Canva graphics for hours without touching AI, you’ll hate it.

You’ll be part of a lean, high-performance marketing team that’s obsessed with doing things smarter, faster, and better than the competition. We move fast, use AI deeply, and expect our team to do the same. If you want to be on the frontlines of the AI-powered marketing revolution, you should apply.

What you will be doing

  • Set up and run physical and virtual events like webinars, live demos, and AMAs using a repeatable process
  • Keep customer-facing communities (e.g., Slack, LinkedIn Groups, forums, comment sections) active and aligned with our brand voice
  • Using GenAI tools like ChatGPT, Jasper, or Canva Magic to create promotional content such as email invites, social media snippets, post-event follow-ups, recap summaries, and ongoing community engagement posts

Key responsibilities

  • Drive awareness, engagement, and customer retention by delivering scalable, high-quality marketing events and managing vibrant online community interactions

Candidate requirements

  • Currently based in North America
  • At least 3 years of experience running physical and virtual event operations
  • Proficiency with GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Canva AI) for drafting event and community content
