During most weeks, you will conduct high-impact intervention sessions. The remainder, you will facilitate brief motivation check-ins that keep learners aligned and meeting their targets. This position fits individuals who value autonomy, immediate feedback cycles, and visible results. It does not suit those seeking a rigid script or those uncomfortable with data-driven work.

What you will be doing
- Create and facilitate virtual small-group and individual reading intervention sessions for learners in grades 3–8
- Leverage reading assessment data to identify fluency and comprehension deficits and modify instruction swiftly
- Differentiate learning activities across varied reading levels, including accommodations for dyslexia and associated reading challenges
- Monitor progress with clarity and consistency, using the resulting data to inform subsequent sessions
- Facilitate structured motivation check-ins that foster confidence, resilience, and pride in advancement
What you will NOT be doing
- Deliver large, whole-class lessons or present from a rigid curriculum
- Execute a pre-scripted program without adjusting to learner needs and immediate feedback
- Function as a passive "software monitor" lacking meaningful instruction and rapport
- Depend on superficial rewards that fail to cultivate enduring motivation
Key responsibilities
Take ownership of outcomes for grades 3–8—quantifiable improvements in fluency and comprehension—by providing customized virtual interventions and motivational support that strengthens confidence.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, or a closely related field
- Reading intervention certification or endorsement (e.g., Arizona Reading Specialist K-12 or equivalent state certification)
- Specialized training or certification in dyslexia intervention (or related structured literacy approaches)
- At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group or one-on-one reading interventions for students in grades 3–8
- Experience supporting students with dyslexia or related reading difficulties
- Ability to interpret progress monitoring data and use it to plan and adjust instruction
- Strong ability to engage and manage students in a virtual setting through clear, motivating communication
- Available to work in a hybrid capacity in Arizona as needed.
