In most weeks, you'll deliver focused intervention sessions. In others, you'll conduct brief motivation touchpoints that keep learners aligned and reaching their targets. This position fits individuals who value independence, rapid feedback cycles, and visible results. It's not suited for those seeking a rigid script or who prefer to avoid data.

What you will be doing
- Create and deliver virtual small-group and individual reading intervention sessions for learners in grades 3–8
- Leverage reading assessment data to identify fluency and comprehension deficits and modify instruction rapidly
- Adapt activities across varied reading levels, including accommodations for dyslexia and associated reading challenges
- Monitor progress systematically and utilize the data to inform upcoming sessions
- Facilitate structured motivation touchpoints that foster confidence, perseverance, and pride in development
What you will NOT be doing
- Deliver large, full-class lessons or present from a rigid curriculum
- Execute a pre-written program without responding to learner needs and live feedback
- Function as a passive "software supervisor" without substantive instruction and relationship-building
- Depend on superficial incentives that fail to cultivate enduring motivation
Key responsibilities
Take ownership of outcomes for grades 3–8—quantifiable improvements in fluency and comprehension—by providing customized virtual interventions and motivational support that cultivates confidence.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, or a closely related field
- Reading intervention certification or endorsement (e.g., Arizona Reading Specialist K-12 or equivalent state certification)
- Specialized training or certification in dyslexia intervention (or related structured literacy approaches)
- At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group or one-on-one reading interventions for students in grades 3–8
- Experience supporting students with dyslexia or related reading difficulties
- Ability to interpret progress monitoring data and use it to plan and adjust instruction
- Strong ability to engage and manage students in a virtual setting through clear, motivating communication
- Available to work in a hybrid capacity in Arizona as needed.
