What you will be doing

  • Facilitating one-hour life skills sessions with K-2 learners, coaching them while reinforcing literacy skills introduced by Reading Specialists
  • Inspiring students to progress through adaptive learning platforms and meet their weekly academic targets
  • Guiding emotional self-regulation, perseverance, and critical thinking through consistent routines and supportive engagement
  • Monitoring student development and challenges, identifying concerns proactively, and refining approaches with your team
  • Building a classroom environment that balances structure, joy, and individual connection

Candidate requirements

  • Must be available to work full-time on-site at our location in Chicago, IL; Miami, FL; Palo Alto, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Santa Monica, CA
  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • 3+ years of experience working with children ages 4–8 in education, afterschool, coaching, or similar environments
  • Strong storytelling ability and dynamic presentation skills: capable of capturing and maintaining the attention of young children in group settings
  • Capacity to maintain high expectations for yourself and students, and motivate children to achieve their objectives
  • Growth mindset and coachable attitude
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
