"All of my students came back in the top 1% for growth and achievement on their MAP scores."
— Sam DePalo, Lead Guide, Alpha Fort Worth Texas
Alpha is hiring.
Alpha students finish all of their academics in two hours a day. That's not a typo, and it's the whole reason this job exists.
Adaptive software handles the academic instruction. What it can't do is convince a seven-year-old that she's capable of more than she thinks — and that's the job. In this role, you'll be a guide, spending your day building confidence, focus, resilience, and the willingness to attempt hard things in children who are still learning to tie their shoes.
You'll lead one K-3 cohort band, either Kindergarten-1st grade or 2nd-3rd. Half your day is high-energy, hour-long workshops on life skills: public speaking, giving and taking feedback, holding attention. The other half is coaching, one-on-one and in small groups, using live learning data to keep every child moving toward an ambitious weekly goal. Students should walk out of your workshops more capable than they walked in, and out of your coaching sessions believing they can do more than they thought.
Your background in youth development is exactly what this role is built around. Some of our strongest people in this role came from youth sports, children's theater, camp leadership, and after-school programs — the same world you already work in. What we're looking for is someone kids listen to and want to impress, and who can hold a high bar without ever making a child feel small.
This is a full-time, on-site role, five days a week, at an Alpha campus. We recruit nationally, so job boards may display this opportunity in nearby cities that do not have a campus.

Build a cohort of K-3 students who love coming to school, hit ambitious learning goals week after week, and leave elementary school with the life skills — confidence, focus, communication, resilience — that will still be paying off twenty years from now.
