Description

Ready to Transform Young Athletes into Tomorrow's Leaders? Join Our Austin Campus!

Calling all elite athletes who've traded competitive sports for a passion in mentoring! If you've experienced the transformative power of athletics and want to shape the next generation of scholar-athletes, we have an extraordinary opportunity for you at Sports Academy's Austin, TX campus.

Picture yourself at the intersection of athletic excellence and academic innovation, where your experiences as a high-level athlete become the foundation for inspiring young minds. At Sports Academy, powered by 2hr Learning, we're revolutionizing education by seamlessly blending athletic prowess with academic mastery.

This isn't just another coaching position – it's a chance to be a catalyst for change in young lives. Your journey from athlete to mentor uniquely positions you to understand the delicate balance of sports, academics, and personal growth. Here, you'll create an environment where determination meets opportunity, where every challenge becomes a stepping stone to success.

Note: Relocation assistance is available for this in-person role in Austin, TX.

What you will be doing

  • Ignite the fire of motivation through dynamic daily interactions, showing students how athletic principles translate into academic excellence.
  • Transform into a problem-solving architect, equipping students with strategic thinking tools that work both in classrooms and on playing fields.
  • Orchestrate high-energy morning sessions that set the tone for success, creating an electric atmosphere of possibility and growth.
  • Be the compass that guides students through social challenges, building a community where every athlete-scholar thrives.
  • Lead afternoon sessions that blend life skills with athletic training, turning sports principles into life lessons.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Traditional classroom instruction - your role is to empower students to become independent learners and problem-solvers.
  • Passive observation - you'll be an active participant in your students' journey, leading by example in both academic and athletic pursuits.
  • Cookie-cutter mentoring - each student is unique, and your approach will reflect their individual needs and motivations.

  • Distinguished athletic background (Olympic level, national/world championship experience, professional/semi-professional career, or Division 1 collegiate athletics)

  • Passionate advocate for personal growth, skilled in translating athletic principles into life lessons
