What you will be doing
- Creating and preserving optimal learning environments through meticulous facility management and maintenance.
- Handling day-to-day repairs independently while strategically managing vendor relationships for complex issues.
- Executing comprehensive facility assessments covering critical systems (fire safety, HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Resolving technical challenges including network connectivity issues, device troubleshooting, computer repairs, and hardware management.
- Implementing preventative maintenance strategies to ensure uninterrupted campus operations.
What you will NOT be doing
- Standard janitorial or custodial duties—your focus is on maintenance and systems functionality.
- Crisis management after problems occur—your preventative approach will keep operations running smoothly.
- Tackling specialized repairs beyond your expertise without proper professional support.
Key responsibilities

Candidate requirements
- Commitment to working on-site at our Miami, FL campus (relocation assistance provided).
- Proven track record of self-directed repair and maintenance capabilities (plumbing fixes, door/lock maintenance, wall repairs, lighting replacements).
- Experience evaluating and managing vendor proposals for complex maintenance projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in systematic facility inspection protocols covering essential building systems.
- Established technical troubleshooting skills for common IT issues (network connectivity, computer hardware, peripheral devices).
- Professional English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Legal authorization for U.S. employment without sponsorship requirements.
