Director of Retail Operations   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Ready to trade PowerPoint decks for real-world impact? Here's your chance to be the architect of educational transformation.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're not just growing - we're revolutionizing K-12 education with an ambitious rollout of 25-30 new campuses in the next six months. Our innovative model proves that students can master a year's worth of content in just two focused hours daily, freeing up time for creativity and personal growth.

We're seeking former top-tier consultants who are ready to step out of the advisory shadow and into the spotlight of ownership. This isn't about making recommendations - it's about making decisions that matter. With private equity backing and a proven model, we're building the infrastructure to scale our vision nationwide.

If you're someone who thrives on turning chaos into clarity and plans into reality, we want you to lead one of our four critical operational domains. No bureaucracy, no endless approvals - just pure ownership and the power to shape the future of education.

What you will be doing

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

  • Take complete ownership of a critical launch domain: regulatory approvals, campus build-outs, onboarding + systems, or financial operations
  • Drive cross-functional execution with full autonomy and decision-making authority
  • Create and validate scalable playbooks in real-time as we expand
  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with founders and key stakeholders to build launch-ready infrastructure
  • Leverage cutting-edge AI tools to optimize operations and accelerate our expansion

What you will NOT be doing

Let's be clear - this role is not about:

  • Sitting on the sidelines as an advisor - you're in the game, making things happen
  • Navigating corporate bureaucracy - you'll have direct access to decision-makers
  • Managing single-market operations - you'll be orchestrating multiple launches across regions
  • Waiting for instructions - you're here to create the roadmap
  • Passing the buck on tough decisions - the call is yours to make

Key responsibilities

Your core mission is to take full ownership of one fundamental operational pillar in our national school launch strategy. You'll be the driving force behind its successful implementation - moving with speed, precision, and scale. While we'll match you with the pillar that best fits your expertise, you'll have complete autonomy in shaping and executing your domain's strategy.

Candidate requirements

We're building a team of operational powerhouses across multiple verticals. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 3+ years of battle-tested experience at MBB (McKinsey, Bain, or BCG)
  • A proven history of leading complex, cross-functional operations in high-pressure environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one of: regulatory compliance, facility build-outs, systems implementation, or large-scale financial operations
  • Sharp analytical mindset paired with strong execution capabilities - you can transform strategies into action independently
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. and availability to travel approximately one week per month
  • Proficiency with AI tools and eagerness to leverage technology for operational efficiency
