Director of Construction   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Are you ready to revolutionize the educational landscape? 2 Hour Learning is on a mission to redefine learning by launching 25–30 new school campuses in the next six months. We're seeking elite leaders to drive our ambitious expansion.

What you will be doing

  • Lead Regulatory Operations, securing essential state and local approvals.
  • Manage Campus Expansion, overseeing construction, vendors, and timelines.
  • Drive Student Systems & Support, handling onboarding, provisioning, SLAs, and change management.
  • Steer Financial Operations, managing budgets, financial models, and reporting.

Your cross-functional leadership will be pivotal. This isn't about advising; it's about delivering tangible results.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Following pre-set instructions — you'll be crafting the playbook.
  • Seeking consensus — you'll provide decisive leadership.
  • Focusing on just one site — you'll oversee multiple simultaneous launches.
  • Working in the shadows — this role demands visibility and accountability.
  • Delegating challenges — you'll make the critical decisions.

Key responsibilities

Drive and deliver key operational outcomes with precision, ensuring timely and successful execution across your designated track.

Candidate requirements

We're looking for leaders with:

  • Experience from top-tier strategy consulting firms (MBB or similar).
  • 10+ years in operational leadership within regulated or high-stakes environments.
  • Expertise in one or more areas: regulatory approvals, site launches, internal ops with SLAs, or financial oversight.
  • Proficiency with AI tools to enhance efficiency and delivery.
  • U.S. work authorization and travel readiness (~25%).
