Head of Facilities Management   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Ever thought you could do it better when launching a project? Now's your opportunity to lead the charge.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're on an exciting growth trajectory, with plans to open 25-30 new school campuses in the next six months. This involves managing buildings, budgets, systems, and regulatory approvals — all within tight deadlines. We're on the lookout for senior leaders to take full ownership of one of four essential areas: approvals, build-out, onboarding, or finance. This is your chance to take the reins without the need for committee approvals. It's all about you, a clear directive, and the opportunity to build a robust infrastructure.

We're not seeking advisors; we're hiring former MBB+ consultants who are ready to transition from advising to owning. If you're someone who thrives in uncertainty but craves a clear mission, who can transform a blank canvas into a comprehensive plan and deliver results, this role is for you.

2 Hour Learning supports Alpha, GT School, and other high-performance K–12 schools based on a bold concept: students can master a year's worth of content in just two focused hours each day. The rest of the day is for exploration, projects, and personal growth. Our schools integrate real-time dashboards, adaptive curriculum, and skilled guides to provide students with both structure and freedom.

Backed by private equity funding, we have the resources and the directive to scale rapidly. Our model is proven, and now we're building the infrastructure to support it — quickly.

If you're ready to transition from theory to practice, from PowerPoint to P&L, and from "yes-but" to "hell yes," we want to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Taking charge of one domain in the national launch plan: regulatory approvals, campus build-outs, onboarding and systems, or financial operations.
  • Leading cross-functional initiatives with full authority and accountability.
  • Creating and testing playbooks in real-time where none exist.
  • Working closely with founders, functional leads, and campus staff to ensure launch-ready infrastructure.
  • Leveraging AI tools and automation to streamline operations and expedite execution.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Advising — this isn't a strategy role.
  • Navigating through layers — you'll communicate directly with decision-makers.
  • Managing a single market or workstream — you'll oversee efforts across multiple geographies.
  • Waiting for clarity — you'll be the one to create it.
  • Passing off tough decisions — they'll be yours to make.

Key responsibilities

Take ownership and deliver one core operational pillar of 2 Hour Learning's national school launch — efficiently and at scale. You'll be assigned to the pillar that best fits your skills, but the domain will be yours to manage.

Candidate requirements

We're recruiting across various operational verticals, all demanding speed, clarity, structured thinking, and the ability to execute with vigor.

Applicants should possess:

  • At least three years of experience with a leading strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG).
  • A proven track record of managing cross-functional operations in high-stakes, uncertain environments.
  • A strong ability in one or more areas: regulatory navigation, physical site build-outs, onboarding systems, or financial operations at scale.
  • A structured mindset with a strong bias for execution — capable of transitioning from planning to action independently.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. and willingness to travel approximately one week per month.
  • Comfort with using AI tools to optimize workflow and speed up delivery.
