Description

Selling products via channel partners can be a game-changer for scaling up software revenue, but it can be a nightmare for salespeople. If conflict with direct sales reps does not frighten you enough, typical channel sales roles also mean smaller commissions, as partners get a piece of the pie, and an inability to take control if a deal is mismanaged or about to be lost.

GFI operates differently: our suite of network security and communication software products is only available through a well-established partner network, so there is no channel conflict. We also compensate salespeople differently, paying a fixed rate based on work quality instead of sales commissions that depend on unpredictable sales cycles.

This strategic role is responsible for supporting a group of Asia-Pacific and MEA key partners to achieve revenue targets. You will prepare joint strategy plans, review their performance and targets, and help them accelerate strategic sale opportunities - all of this done with minimal traveling, enabled by our remote-first operating model.

If you value sales strategies and building relationships over short-term results or high-pressure tactics, this is the ideal sales role for you!

What you will be doing

  • Preparing joint strategy plans. You’ll regularly review performance and targets with partners and help them shape their strategic plans.
  • Reviewing weekly sales forecasts. You’ll accurately forecast sales for our products with partners over virtual meetings or email.
  • Co-selling. You’ll help partners accelerate strategic sale opportunities by attending meetings with clients.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Direct client communication. Sales are done through channel partners, so there are no interactions with clients without the involvement of a partner.
  • Cold-calling or using sales tactics. Your job will be to empower partners to boost their revenue, not execute sales yourself.
  • Living in airports. You will not travel more than 10% of your time, enabled by our remote-first work model.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop a strong and effective network of channel partners that increase our revenue through sales

Candidate requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience working with direct and/or channel software sales
  • Availability to work at least 90% of the time between 9 am and 5 pm EST (GMT-5)
