Campus Operations Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

You're not here to run a school. You're here to make it run. If you're the kind of person who can switch from managing a WiFi meltdown to welcoming parents to a campus tour, this job was built for you.

As the operational heartbeat of Alpha’s flagship high school campus, you’ll own everything that makes the school experience seamless outside the classroom. From tech support to event setup, from crisis management to calm, clear communication with students and parents. This isn’t an administrative back office role; this is a visible, high-trust position that keeps the school moving, the culture strong, and the community confident.

Alpha is a next-generation K–12 private school that believes kids learn best when empowered with the right tools and trusted adults. Our students are ambitious and independent. They work part-time jobs, participate in evening programs, and show up to weekend events. That’s why we need someone who’s not just flexible, but energized by a dynamic environment. This is a salaried role, based in downtown, with parking included and full benefits. If you're ready to be the trusted face students rely on and the calm partner parents trust, we want to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Overseeing daily campus operations, including attendance, facilities, and logistics, to ensure a smooth school day
  • Acting as the primary tech liaison for the campus
  • Managing set-up and logistics for campus events, creating professional and welcoming experiences
  • Building strong relationships with students and parents through clear, proactive communication and dependable support
  • Executing safety protocols and drills, documenting incidents, and ensuring campus security measures are in place

What you will NOT be doing

  • Teaching, tutoring, or providing academic instruction to students
  • Developing curriculum or modifying academic programs
  • Sitting behind a desk all day
  • Escalating every tech issue
  • Following a rigid 9–5 schedule. Some student activities and events happen after hours or at weekends

Key responsibilities

Ensure Alpha’s flagship high school campus runs smoothly, safely, and professionally. Earning the trust of students, parents, and staff by delivering operational excellence every day.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven ability to resolve issues and manage operational logistics with confidence
  • Experience in customer/parent-facing roles
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • A strong sense of ownership and an eagerness to take initiative
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the campus location (downtown with parking provided)

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in K–12 school environments or community organizations
  • Background in help desk support, campus operations, or high-touch service roles
  • First-aid or safety certification
