Enterprise Customer Success Manager   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You're an enterprise account manager who's tired of operating as a passive renewal administrator. You understand what it takes to retain major accounts, maintain contract integrity, and sustain revenue momentum—without requiring a support army of CSMs, solution engineers, and enablement specialists. You can communicate with a CMO using outcomes language, collaborate with a content director on execution details, and engage compliance teams on risk considerations. And you're capable of developing automation that genuinely transforms your workflow, not superficial "I use ChatGPT" claims.

Contently operates in a high-stakes enterprise segment: regulated content management. Financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and major consumer brands rely on us because brand safety, governance, and compliance are non-negotiable. What makes this compelling is you're not entering unproven territory. You're taking ownership of an established enterprise portfolio where client relationships are already solid. Your mission is to convert that existing trust into sustained and expanded revenue by demonstrating ROI in terms clients recognize, then pursuing intelligent growth opportunities. While executing this, you'll help shape what AI-enabled account management means in 2026 for a content platform—a playbook that doesn't exist yet.

This position means owning renewals with a closer's mindset. It's facilitating QBRs that resonate with executives because you connect usage metrics to tangible outcomes like reduced compliance exposure and strengthened brand authority. It's identifying expansion opportunities proactively—both within accounts and across market signals—and presenting proposals anchored in the client's actual activity and genuine needs. It also involves delivering automation on a quarterly basis that eliminates hours of repetitive account management tasks, reallocating your capacity toward strategy, negotiation, and revenue growth. If your understanding of "AI skills" is limited to drafting better emails more quickly, this role won't be a fit.

You'll join a lean team where accountability defines the culture and autonomy is the reward. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with product, support, finance, and marketing specialists as required, but you're the operator responsible for driving results. If you want access to a portfolio of authentic enterprise accounts, immediate visibility into your impact, and a position where building AI solutions is a core expectation, submit your application. If you're seeking to learn AI building skills on the job and expect a gradual onboarding period, do not apply (other Crossover opportunities support that learning path).

What you will be doing

  • Account Renewals - Execute annual contract renewals on schedule, at or exceeding current ARR, supported by documented retention logic
  • Customer Success Plans - Maintain a per-account success plan that captures client objectives, health indicators, renewal schedules, and expansion pathways
  • AI Workflow Automation - Develop scripts or automation solutions to streamline routine activities (data extraction, status reporting, QBR preparation)

What you will NOT be doing

  • Acquiring new logos or conducting cold outreach
  • Developing content marketing strategies on behalf of clients
  • Limiting AI tool usage to writing assistance or research support

Key responsibilities

  • Retain and expand revenue within Contently's established enterprise account portfolio

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 2 years managing enterprise accounts with $200K+ ARR at a software company
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging data (usage patterns, renewal records, platform activity) to construct business cases for executive decision-makers
  • Proven ability to develop AI workflow automations
  • Availability to work US business hours (EST time zone)
