Enterprise Customer Success Manager   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You're an enterprise account manager tired of functioning as a courteous renewal administrator. You understand how to maintain major accounts satisfied, ensure contracts remain organized, and sustain revenue momentum—without requiring an army of CSMs, solution engineers, and enablement resources supporting you at every step. You can communicate with a CMO about outcomes, engage a content director on execution details, and discuss risk with compliance teams. And you possess the capability to develop automation that transforms your workflow, not merely "I leverage ChatGPT."

Contently operates within the enterprise domain where errors carry significant cost: regulated content. Financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and established brands rely on us because brand safety, governance, and compliance are mandatory. What makes this compelling is that you're not entering unfamiliar accounts. You're taking ownership of an enterprise portfolio where trust has been established. Your objective is to convert that trust into sustained and expanding revenue by demonstrating ROI in terminology the client understands, then expanding strategically. As you do this, you'll contribute to defining what AI-enabled account management will look like in 2026 at a content organization—a playbook that doesn't yet exist.

This role means owning renewals with a closer's mentality. It involves conducting QBRs that resonate with executives because you can connect usage data to outcomes such as compliance risk mitigation and brand authority strengthening. It requires proactively identifying expansion opportunities within accounts and the broader market, then presenting proposals grounded in the client's actual activities and genuine needs. It also means delivering automation on a quarterly basis that eliminates hours of repetitive AM tasks, reallocating your time toward strategy, negotiation, and revenue growth. If your understanding of "AI capabilities" means composing better emails more quickly, this role isn't for you.

You'll join a lean team where accountability defines the culture and autonomy serves as the reward. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with product, support, finance, and marketing specialists when required, but you're the operator responsible for driving results. If you seek a portfolio of genuine enterprise accounts, rapid feedback loops on your impact, and a position where AI development is a non-negotiable requirement, we encourage your application. If you're coming here expecting to learn AI building skills and anticipate having ramp-up time, do not apply (other Crossover opportunities exist for that path).

What you will be doing

  • Account Renewals - Execute annual contract renewals punctually, maintaining or exceeding current ARR, with documented rationale for retention
  • Customer Success Plans - Maintain a per-account success plan that documents client objectives, health indicators, renewal schedules, and expansion pathways
  • AI Workflow Automation - Develop scripts or automation solutions to manage routine tasks (data report generation, status communications, QBR preparation activities)

What you will NOT be doing

  • Acquiring new logos or conducting cold outreach campaigns
  • Developing content marketing strategies on behalf of customers
  • Limiting AI tool usage to writing assistance or research support only

Key responsibilities

  • Retain and expand revenue across Contently's established enterprise portfolio

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing enterprise accounts valued at $200K+ ARR within a software company
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging data (usage metrics, renewal history, platform engagement) to construct business cases for executive-level buyers
  • Capability to build AI workflow automations
  • Willingness to operate during US work hours (EST time zone)
