Instructional Designer   $60,000 USD/year

Description

Imagine a learning model where children complete a full day's curriculum in two intensely productive hours, then spend their afternoons launching podcasts, creating murals, or mastering back-handsprings. This is the 2-Hour Learning framework that drives Alpha Anywhere—and you will be the strategist maintaining and advancing this system.

From anywhere with reliable internet, you will convert streams of AI-generated performance metrics into precise, timely actions that guide each learner toward 90% mastery and higher. When learners encounter obstacles, you will conduct live coaching sessions, clear the roadblock immediately, and restore their momentum with renewed confidence. At the same time, you will analyze deep currents of student performance information, identifying hidden trends that unlock children's capabilities and building next-generation AI tools that may double learning velocity.

Parents observe rising self-assurance, students accelerate their learning pace, and you witness the tangible effect of every observation you make, every AI process you automate, and every question you pose. Prepared to convert data into acceleration for young learners? Continue reading.

What you will be doing

  • Constructing precise Academic Data Reports and performing systematic evaluation to identify problems, detect irregularities, and initiate corrections within 48 hours
  • Delivering rapid-response intervention sessions and facilitating post-assessment coaching conversations to eliminate barriers, distinguish knowledge deficits from mistakes, and sustain student engagement
  • Assessing and deploying new educational applications and materials while creating AI/LLM prototypes to advance learning methodologies and address particular obstacles
  • Collaborating with leadership to optimize tools, dashboards, and mastery benchmarks as the AI tutor advances

What you will NOT be doing

  • Attending endless meetings or producing generic presentation materials with no visibility into actual results
  • Grading papers, writing lesson plans, or managing traditional educational programs—the AI and innovation drive our work
  • Working at high-level strategy without execution or remaining confined to routine assignments—this role demands hands-on involvement and adaptability

Key responsibilities

Accelerate student learning outcomes through AI-powered evaluation and real-time academic intelligence, evidenced by improved metrics such as 2× learning velocity, app engagement, lesson comprehension, response accuracy, and diminished negative learning patterns across the Alpha Anywhere network.

Candidate requirements

  • Demonstrated ability working in data science or related role, education, EdTech, or a student-support role with both analytical and interpersonal components
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets data analysis (lookups, pivot tables, filtering)
  • High emotional intelligence, strong communication skills and a kid-friendly coaching style
  • Experience building workflows and automations with AI

Nice to have

  • Background in learning science, educational principles, or demonstrated success improving outcomes through data-driven strategies
  • Experience with Generative AI, prompting techniques, and basic coding skills (Python, JavaScript, etc.) for querying AI APIs
