Instructional Designer   $60,000 USD/year

Description

Imagine students completing a full day of academics in two highly concentrated hours, then spending their afternoons launching podcasts, creating murals, or mastering gymnastics. This is the 2-Hour Learning model that drives Alpha Anywhere—and as the strategist behind it, you'll maintain its performance while engineering its next evolution.

From any location with reliable internet, you'll convert massive volumes of AI-generated performance metrics into precise, timely actions that guide every learner toward 90% mastery and higher. When obstacles emerge, you'll conduct live coaching sessions, eliminate barriers in the moment, and restore students to productive flow with renewed momentum. At the same time, you'll analyze detailed student performance streams, identifying concealed patterns that release children's complete capabilities and building cutting-edge AI tools that may double acquisition rates.

Parents observe rising confidence, students accelerate their learning pace, and you witness the immediate results of each analysis you deliver, each AI process you streamline, and each question you pose. Prepared to convert data into acceleration fuel for developing minds? Continue reading.

What you will be doing

  • Constructing highly precise Academic Data Reports and performing structured analysis to identify problems, detect outliers, and initiate corrections within 48 hours
  • Leading fast-turnaround intervention calls and facilitating post-assessment coaching to clear obstacles, distinguish understanding deficits from mistakes, and sustain student engagement
  • Assessing and deploying new learning applications and materials while creating AI/LLM prototypes to advance instructional methods and address targeted problems
  • Collaborating with leadership to optimize tools, dashboards, and mastery benchmarks as the AI tutor advances

What you will NOT be doing

  • Attending marathon meetings or producing generic presentation decks disconnected from measurable results
  • Grading assignments, drafting lesson plans, or administering conventional educational programs—AI and innovation power our approach
  • Working exclusively at the strategic level without execution or becoming mired in repetitive tasks—this position demands active involvement and adaptability

Key responsibilities

Elevate student learning performance through AI-powered analysis and live academic intelligence, evidenced by improved indicators such as 2× learning velocity, application usage, lesson understanding, answer precision, and diminished negative learning behaviors throughout the Alpha Anywhere network.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven track record in data science or comparable position, education, EdTech, or a student-facing role combining analytical and relational elements
  • Competence in Google Sheets data operations (lookups, pivot tables, filtering)
  • Strong emotional intelligence, effective communication abilities and an approachable coaching manner for children
  • Hands-on experience creating workflows and automations using AI
  • Minimum 1 year experience working directly with K-8 students
  • Availability to work during mandatory core hours of 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday.

Nice to have

  • Foundation in learning science, instructional design principles, or verified achievements enhancing outcomes via data-informed approaches
  • Familiarity with Generative AI, prompting methodologies, and foundational coding capabilities (Python, JavaScript, etc.) for interfacing with AI APIs
