Learning Strategist   $100,000 USD/year

Description

At 2 Hour Learning, we are redefining how students engage with history and geography. Our mission is to transform social studies education by making the exploration of cultures, civilizations, and global landscapes both compelling and effective.

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development of AI-enhanced learning experiences in history and geography. Your role will be to create innovative pathways that accelerate comprehension and deepen students' connection to the past and present. If you have the expertise to reimagine how foundational social studies concepts are taught, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of education.

What you will be doing

  • Designing AI-powered interactive simulations that transform historical events and geographic concepts into tangible, engaging learning experiences.
  • Interpreting learning data to identify trends and create adaptive learning pathways tailored to individual student needs.
  • Creating innovative digital content that animates historical narratives and geographic exploration, including immersive time-based journeys and cultural deep dives.
  • Working closely with educators and technology specialists to develop novel instructional strategies that reshape social studies delivery.
  • Converting intricate historical and geographic material into accessible, compelling content augmented by AI-driven customization.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing conventional curriculum frameworks or handling routine administrative tasks—your focus is on innovation and measurable impact.
  • Working in isolation—you will collaborate with a dedicated team of experts focused on advancing educational outcomes.
  • Relying on conventional teaching methods—your mission is to fundamentally change how students interact with social studies content.

Key responsibilities

Lead efforts to achieve significant gains in students' understanding of social studies topics, accelerating their mastery of essential historical and geographic knowledge by a factor of two through advanced AI-enabled instructional design.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Geography, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience teaching or developing social studies curricula, with demonstrable results in improving student outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience with AI applications in education, such as content creation, adaptive learning, or data analysis using the LLM APIs.
  • Outstanding communication skills to translate complex social studies topics into engaging narratives.
