Digital Learning Specialist   $100,000 USD/year

Description

At 2 Hour Learning, we are redefining how students engage with history and geography—using AI to unlock deeper understanding and accelerate mastery of the world around them.

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the transformation of social studies education through advanced AI technology. If you can make the study of ancient civilizations and global landscapes as compelling as any immersive experience, and if you are ready to drive measurable learning outcomes, this role offers a unique opportunity to reshape how students connect with our shared history and the world's diverse cultures.

What you will be doing

  • Leveraging AI to create interactive simulations that make historical events and geographic phenomena concrete and engaging for learners.
  • Examining learning data to identify trends and insights that shape adaptive learning pathways, tailoring each student's experience for maximum engagement and effectiveness.
  • Building advanced digital resources that animate historical narratives and global environments—from time-travel experiences to culturally immersive explorations.
  • Working closely with a cross-functional team of educators and technology specialists to develop innovative methodologies that transform social studies instruction.
  • Converting intricate historical and geographical ideas into accessible, compelling content powered by AI-driven personalization.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing conventional curricula or getting caught up in administrative tasks—this position centers on innovation and measurable impact.
  • Working in isolation—you will collaborate with a dedicated team of experts focused on advancing educational outcomes.
  • Relying on traditional teaching methods—your contributions will redefine student engagement with history and geography.

Key responsibilities

Achieve significant, measurable gains in students' understanding of social studies topics, doubling the rate at which they absorb essential historical and geographic knowledge using innovative, AI-powered approaches.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Geography, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience teaching or developing social studies curricula, with demonstrable results in improving student outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience with AI applications in education, such as content creation, adaptive learning, or data analysis using the LLM APIs.
  • Outstanding communication skills to translate complex social studies topics into engaging narratives.
