Description

At 2 Hour Learning, we are redefining how students engage with history and geography, building educational experiences that spark curiosity and deepen understanding of the world.

We are seeking a skilled professional to transform social studies instruction by leveraging advanced AI technology to help students master the fundamentals of history and geography. If you can accelerate learning outcomes and make ancient civilizations and global landscapes compelling and accessible, this role offers the chance to reshape how students connect with our shared past and the world today.

What you will be doing

  • Designing interactive, AI-powered simulations that make historical events and geographical phenomena concrete and engaging for students.
  • Examining learning data to identify patterns and inform adaptive learning pathways that personalize and optimize each student's educational experience.
  • Creating innovative digital resources that animate historical figures and global landscapes, including virtual time travel experiences and immersive cultural explorations.
  • Working closely with a cross-functional team of educators and technologists to develop fresh approaches that transform social studies instruction and student engagement.
  • Converting complex historical and geographic ideas into accessible, compelling content enriched by AI-driven personalization.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Administering traditional curricula or handling routine administrative tasks—this position focuses on innovation and tangible educational impact.
  • Working in isolation—you will collaborate with a dedicated team of experts focused on advancing the field.
  • Relying on conventional textbook approaches—your contributions will redefine student engagement with history and geography.

Key responsibilities

Achieve measurable gains in students' mastery of social studies content, doubling the rate at which they absorb essential historical and geographic knowledge through innovative, AI-powered instructional strategies.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Geography, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience teaching or developing social studies curricula, with demonstrable results in improving student outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience with AI applications in education, such as content creation, adaptive learning, or data analysis.
  • Outstanding communication skills to translate complex social studies topics into engaging narratives.
