Description

Consider the challenge of transforming historical narratives and geographical relationships into learning experiences that spark genuine curiosity and comprehension. 2 Hour Learning is redesigning education from the ground up—redefining how students encounter and understand the world they inhabit.

We are seeking a skilled professional to reimagine student engagement with core history and geography concepts through advanced AI tools. If you can enhance learning velocity and render ancient societies or planetary systems as compelling as contemporary discovery, you will have the chance to reshape social studies instruction, building stronger ties to our collective heritage and current reality.

What you will be doing

  • Leveraging AI to create interactive simulations that render historical episodes and geographical processes concrete and lasting for learners.
  • Examining learning analytics to identify trends that shape adaptive learning pathways, ensuring each student's individual progression remains compelling and productive.
  • Building advanced digital tools that animate historical personalities and worldwide terrain, spanning virtual expeditions across eras to engaging cultural immersions.
  • Partnering with a cross-functional team of instructors and technologists to develop novel strategies that transform social studies pedagogy and student experience.
  • Converting intricate historical and geographic principles into captivating, accessible material enriched by AI-powered customization.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing conventional curricula or becoming entangled in administrative tasks—this position centers on innovation and tangible outcomes.
  • Working in isolation—you will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals focused on expanding what's possible.
  • Relying on traditional textbook approaches—your contributions will fundamentally alter how students engage with history and geography.

Key responsibilities

Produce quantifiable gains in students' command of social studies material, doubling the rate at which they absorb essential historical and geographic understanding through pioneering, AI-enabled approaches.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Geography, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience teaching or developing social studies curricula, with demonstrable results in improving student outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience with AI applications in education, such as content creation, adaptive learning, or data analysis using the LLM APIs.
  • Outstanding communication skills to translate complex social studies topics into engaging narratives.
