Description

What if history's most compelling narratives or the intricate connections between culture and geography could be taught in ways that spark genuine curiosity and comprehension? At 2 Hour Learning, we're doing more than reimagining education—we're pioneering how students discover and understand the world they inhabit.

We're seeking a skilled professional to transform how students learn the core principles of history and geography through advanced AI-powered tools. Can you accelerate mastery and turn ancient societies or diverse landscapes into experiences as captivating as any modern exploration? This role offers the chance to redefine social studies instruction, building stronger bridges between students and our collective history and contemporary world.

What you will be doing

  • Leveraging AI technology to create interactive simulations that render historical events and geographic concepts concrete and unforgettable for learners.
  • Examining educational data to identify trends that shape adaptive learning pathways, guaranteeing that each student's individual experience remains both compelling and productive.
  • Building innovative digital tools that animate historical personalities and world regions, ranging from time-travel experiences to engaging cultural deep dives.
  • Working with a cross-functional team of educators and technologists to develop groundbreaking strategies that transform social studies teaching and learning.
  • Converting intricate historical and geographical ideas into accessible, captivating content amplified by AI-powered customization.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing conventional curricula or getting mired in administrative tasks—this position centers on innovation and tangible impact.
  • Working in isolation—you'll collaborate with a team of dedicated specialists focused on breaking new ground.
  • Relying on traditional textbook approaches—your contributions will transform how students engage with history and geography.

Key responsibilities

Deliver quantifiable gains in students' command of social studies material, doubling the rate at which they absorb essential historical and geographic knowledge through pioneering, AI-enhanced teaching methods.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Geography, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience teaching or developing social studies curricula, with demonstrable results in improving student outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience with AI applications in education, such as content creation, adaptive learning, or data analysis using the LLM APIs.
  • Outstanding communication skills to translate complex social studies topics into engaging narratives.
