Admissions Manager   $200,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an on-site position at our Santa Barbara, San Francisco, or Dallas-Fort Worth campuses. We provide relocation assistance.

Most admissions professionals are hired to maintain the status quo. You'll be brought on to dismantle it and build something stronger.

2 Hour Learning delivers a complete day of academic instruction in just two hours using mastery-based, AI-powered applications. No traditional teachers. No classroom lectures. No inefficiency. Our students learn at 2.6 times the national average, validated by MAP assessment data. The rest of their day is dedicated to life skills, personal development, and substantive projects. This isn't simply an alternative approach to education. It's a more efficient, results-driven model that produces top 1% academic performance in half the time.

Your role begins here. You'll oversee end-to-end admissions for one campus—Dallas, Santa Barbara, or San Francisco—with complete ownership of your enrollment pipeline. No bureaucracy. No task delegation. No unnecessary complexity. You'll convert interest into committed enrollment through rapid follow-up, outcome transparency, compelling tours, and discerning candidate evaluation. You'll be the deciding factor when families commit to a school that challenges every educational convention.

If you're driven by efficiency, results, and the opportunity to represent a superior model rather than aspirational messaging, this position is for you.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to prospective family inquiries within 4 hours using tailored, authentic communication that avoids templated language.
  • Conducting campus tours and information sessions that demonstrate precisely how and why our instruction is accelerated, and which families benefit most.
  • Managing the complete admissions process, from initial applications and shadow visits through final decision discussions and family onboarding.
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in CRM and student information systems, particularly HubSpot, to support weekly performance review.
  • Continuously improving admissions collateral, standard procedures, and frequently asked questions informed by parent feedback and conversion metrics.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Supervising staff. This position is intentionally designed for independent execution.
  • Operating within institutional bureaucracy. Our pace mirrors a startup, not a traditional school district.
  • Enrolling every applicant. Our model serves specific families, and you'll identify the best matches.
  • Defending our unconventional approach. Our results provide stronger validation than adherence to tradition.
  • Working remotely. This role requires on-campus presence with occasional participation in local community events.

Key responsibilities

Lead and refine the admissions process to convert qualified prospects into enrolled students. Build a high-conversion, selective enrollment pipeline that mirrors the precision and effectiveness of the 2 Hour Learning educational model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years managing end-to-end admissions at a selective, tuition-charging academic institution
  • Demonstrated track record in selective enrollment management from initial inquiry through enrollment commitment
  • Outstanding communication abilities across written, presentation, and interpersonal formats
  • Comfort and credibility when engaging affluent families and sophisticated decision-makers
  • Solid operational discipline, including CRM expertise (particularly HubSpot), time management, and meticulous accuracy
  • Currently based in or prepared to relocate to Santa Barbara, San Francisco, or Dallas
  • Eligible to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice to have

  • Background in prestigious K–12 independent schools or selective college admissions
  • Experience designing and executing high-engagement, conversion-focused events
  • Proficiency with analytics, KPIs, and metric-based strategy
  • Knowledge of AI-enhanced or mastery-based learning frameworks
