Head of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an on-site position based at our campuses in Dallas-Fort Worth, Santa Barbara, or San Francisco. We provide relocation assistance.

Most admissions professionals maintain the status quo. Your role will be to challenge it—and build something superior.

2 Hour Learning condenses a traditional full school day into two hours through AI-driven, mastery-based applications. No instructors. No classroom lectures. No inefficiency. Our students learn at 2.6 times the national average, validated by MAP assessment data. The rest of their day is dedicated to life skills, character development, and substantive projects. This represents more than an alternative approach to education. It's an accelerated, high-performance framework producing top 1% academic results in half the time.

Your responsibility begins here. You'll oversee end-to-end admissions for one campus location—Dallas, Santa Barbara, or San Francisco—with complete ownership of your enrollment pipeline. No bureaucratic layers. No process handoffs. No unnecessary complexity. You'll convert interest into confirmed enrollment through rapid communication, transparent outcomes, compelling campus experiences, and rigorous family selection. You'll be the decisive factor when families commit to a school unlike anything they've encountered before.

If you're driven by efficiency, intellectual rigor, and the opportunity to represent a genuinely superior offering rather than abstract educational philosophy, this role is for you.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to new inquiries within 4 hours using tailored, substantive communication that avoids generic templates.
  • Conducting campus tours and admissions events that transparently demonstrate our accelerated teaching model and ideal student profile.
  • Managing the complete admissions cycle, from initial applications through shadow visits, enrollment decisions, and family onboarding.
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date CRM and student information system records for weekly performance reviews, particularly in HubSpot.
  • Iterating on admissions collateral, standard operating procedures, and frequently asked questions informed by parent feedback and conversion metrics.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Supervising staff. This is intentionally structured as an individual contributor position.
  • Dealing with bureaucratic obstacles. We operate at startup velocity, not traditional institutional timelines.
  • Enrolling every applicant. This educational model serves specific families, and your role includes selective judgment.
  • Defending our unconventional approach. Our measurable results validate our differentiation.
  • Operating remotely. This position requires daily on-campus presence, with occasional off-site local engagement.

Key responsibilities

Take full ownership of the admissions process to convert qualified prospective families into enrolled students. Build and sustain a high-conversion, highly selective pipeline that embodies the precision and academic performance standards of the 2 Hour Learning model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years managing complete admissions cycles at a selective, tuition-dependent academic institution
  • Documented track record of successful selective enrollment management from first inquiry through final commitment
  • Superior communication abilities across written, presentation, and interpersonal contexts
  • Comfort and credibility when engaging high-net-worth families and sophisticated decision-makers
  • Disciplined operational practices, including CRM expertise (HubSpot preferred), time management excellence, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Current residence in or readiness to relocate to Santa Barbara, San Francisco, or Dallas
  • U.S. work authorization without requirement for visa sponsorship

Nice to have

  • Background in prestigious K–12 independent schools or selective college admissions environments
  • Track record organizing high-touch admissions events with strong conversion outcomes
  • Proficiency with analytics, performance metrics, and data-informed strategy
  • Knowledge of AI-enhanced or mastery-based learning platforms
