Head of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position at our San Francisco and Dallas-Fort Worth campuses. We provide relocation assistance.

Most admissions professionals are brought in to maintain the status quo. Your mandate will be to dismantle it, then build something superior.

2 Hour Learning uses AI-powered, mastery-based applications to condense a traditional school day into two hours. No instructors. No classroom lectures. No inefficiency. Students achieve learning gains at 2.6 times the national average, validated by MAP assessment data. Afternoons are dedicated to life skills, personal development, and substantive projects. This represents more than an alternative approach to education. It's a faster, more effective, high-impact system that produces top 1% academic results in a fraction of conventional time.

Your role begins here. You'll oversee complete admissions operations for either our Dallas or San Francisco campus, with direct authority over your entire pipeline. No bureaucratic layers. No departmental handoffs. No unnecessary complexity. You'll convert interest into enrollment through rapid engagement, transparent outcomes, compelling tours, and rigorous selectivity. You'll be the determining factor when families commit to a school unlike anything they've encountered.

If you're driven by velocity, rigor, and the opportunity to represent a superior offering rather than aspirational messaging, this position is designed for you.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to incoming inquiries within 4 hours using tailored, substantive communication that avoids templated language.
  • Conducting campus tours and events that demonstrate precisely how and why our instruction is faster, and which families it serves.
  • Managing the complete admissions cycle, from applications and shadow days through decision conversations and family onboarding.
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date CRM and SIS records prepared for weekly review, particularly within HubSpot.
  • Updating admissions materials, standard operating procedures, and FAQ documents informed by live parent feedback and conversion metrics.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Supervising others. This is intentionally structured as an individual contributor position.
  • Operating within bureaucratic constraints. We function at startup velocity, not traditional institutional timelines.
  • Enrolling every applicant. This model isn't suitable for all families, and your responsibility is identifying the right fit.
  • Defending our differences. Our performance data carries more weight than convention.
  • Working remotely. This is an on-site, campus-based role with periodic local engagements.

Key responsibilities

Lead and refine the admissions process to convert qualified prospects into enrolled families. Build a high-conversion, highly selective pipeline that mirrors the precision and results of the 2 Hour Learning model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years leading complete admissions cycles at a selective, tuition-driven academic institution
  • Documented track record managing competitive enrollment processes from initial inquiry through final commitment
  • Outstanding communication abilities across writing, public speaking, and individual engagement
  • Ease working with affluent families and sophisticated decision-makers
  • Solid operational discipline, including CRM expertise (particularly HubSpot), time management, and meticulous follow-through
  • Based in or prepared to relocate to Dallas or San Francisco
  • U.S. work authorization without need for visa sponsorship

Nice to have

  • Background in premium K–12 private schools or selective college admissions
  • Track record producing high-touch, high-conversion recruitment events
  • Proficiency with analytics, performance metrics, and data-informed strategies
  • Knowledge of AI-driven or mastery-based educational frameworks
