Director of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions roles focus on maximizing volume. This one is designed to uphold standards.

At 2 Hour Learning, we serve families who demand precision, discretion, and evidence. We condense a traditional school day into two concentrated hours through AI-driven, mastery-based learning. Students routinely outpace national learning benchmarks, and the results are documented. Afternoons are freed for depth, autonomy, and practical skill development. The model is effective. But effectiveness depends entirely on enrolling the right families.

This is where your role begins.

You will control the complete enrollment process for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and concluding with onboarding. This is not a position where responsibilities are shared. You own how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether enrollment decisions are made with proper understanding. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed discussions, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not enrollment maximization. The objective is strategic alignment.

We welcome candidates from high-end service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership organizations, or entrepreneurs who have directly managed high-value client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a sophisticated, multi-phase process with discernment, clarity, and accountability.

If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where trust, confidentiality, and experience quality define the brand, this role will be recognizable—simply directed toward work that produces measurable outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-campus role. We are currently hiring in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Orange County, and Palm Beach. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of the enrollment process for prospective families, from initial contact through final onboarding.
  • Facilitating needs-assessment discussions to evaluate compatibility before introducing solutions or advising on next actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family relationships across varying enrollment stages, maintaining transparent tracking and timely follow-up.
  • Delivering campus tours, student shadow experiences, and decision-stage conversations that articulate outcomes, expectations, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Keeping precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable accurate forecasting, prioritization, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Accepting families who are poorly matched in order to meet enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or working through complex approval hierarchies.
  • Transferring responsibility for the family experience to other roles.
  • Operating remotely. This position is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a high-trust, high-selectivity enrollment process that successfully converts aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and academic performance of the 2 Hour Learning model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand credibility (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated services).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment experience from initial inquiry through onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family relationships across multiple stages, supported by a structured tracking and prioritization method.
  • Capacity to offer specific examples of consultative decision-making, including instances where you advised against your product or service due to poor fit.
  • Professional written communication experience with senior executives, high-net-worth individuals, or discerning clients.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these markets: Santa Barbara, CA; San Francisco, CA; Orange County, CA; Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; or Palm Beach, FL.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in selective private school admissions or enrollment for competitive programs.
  • Background in luxury hospitality, VIP guest relations, or executive support positions.
  • Experience developing or refining enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Comfort leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion quality, not merely conversion speed.
