Director of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This position requires in-person presence at one of our campuses in Dallas-Fort Worth, Santa Barbara, or San Francisco. We provide relocation assistance.

Most admissions professionals are brought in to maintain the status quo. You'll be brought in to dismantle it and build something superior.

2 Hour Learning compresses an entire school day into two hours through AI-driven, mastery-based applications. No traditional teachers. No conventional lectures. No inefficiency. Our students achieve learning outcomes at 2.6 times the national average, validated by MAP assessment data. The remaining hours of the day are dedicated to life skills development, personal enrichment, and substantive projects. This represents more than an alternative educational approach. It's a faster, more intelligent, high-impact framework delivering top 1% academic performance in half the time.

Your role is central to this mission. You'll direct end-to-end admissions operations for one campus—Dallas, Santa Barbara, or San Francisco—with complete ownership of your enrollment pipeline. No bureaucratic layers. No task delegation. No unnecessary complexity. You'll convert interest into confirmed enrollment through rapid engagement, transparent outcome presentation, compelling campus experiences, and selective judgment. You'll be the deciding factor when families commit to a school unlike anything they've encountered.

If you're driven by velocity, rigor, and the opportunity to represent a genuinely superior product rather than aspirational messaging, this role is yours to take.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to incoming inquiries within 4 hours using tailored, precise communication that avoids templated language.
  • Conducting campus tours and informational events that transparently demonstrate our accelerated teaching model and ideal student profile.
  • Managing the complete admissions process, from applications and shadow day coordination to decision conversations and family onboarding.
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date CRM and SIS records prepared for weekly performance review, particularly within HubSpot.
  • Iterating on admissions collateral, standard operating procedures, and frequently asked questions informed by live parent feedback and conversion metrics.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Supervising staff. This role is intentionally structured for individual execution.
  • Working through bureaucratic approval chains. We operate at startup velocity, not institutional tempo.
  • Enrolling every prospect. This educational model isn't suited to all families, and your responsibility is identifying the right fit.
  • Defending our differentiation. Our performance data carries more weight than convention.
  • Operating remotely. This position is campus-based and in-person, with occasional attendance at local community events.

Key responsibilities

Take full ownership of the admissions journey to convert qualified prospects into enrolled students. Build a high-conversion, selective enrollment pipeline that mirrors the precision and results of the 2 Hour Learning educational model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing end-to-end admissions at a selective, tuition-based educational institution
  • Documented track record in driving competitive enrollment from initial inquiry through final commitment
  • Outstanding communication capabilities across written correspondence, public presentations, and individual consultations
  • Comfort and credibility when engaging high-net-worth families and sophisticated decision-makers
  • Solid operational discipline, including CRM fluency (particularly HubSpot), time management expertise, and meticulous accuracy
  • Currently residing in or prepared to relocate to Santa Barbara, San Francisco, or Dallas
  • Eligible to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice to have

  • Background in premier K–12 independent school admissions or selective college enrollment
  • Track record delivering high-engagement, high-conversion recruitment events
  • Proficiency with analytics, performance metrics, and evidence-based strategy refinement
  • Exposure to AI-enabled or mastery-based learning environments
