2 Hour Learning has developed a model that enables students to learn twice as quickly in two hours per day. This outcome is driven by AI-powered tutoring, mastery-based progression, and a departure from traditional classroom structures. The results speak for themselves. We now need a leader who can align execution across varied school models, elevate academic leadership standards, and serve as the authoritative voice of a movement built on rigorous learning science.
This is a leadership mandate, not an academic theory position. You will own the academic strategy in execution, establish clear performance standards, diagnose execution gaps, and coach elite teams to achieve measurable outcomes. You will operationalize our scientific foundation and champion this model to external audiences.
What you will be doing
- Developing academic frameworks that convert learning science principles into actionable guidance for curriculum design, motivation systems, and application architecture.
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain aligned, accountable, and results-focused.
- Synthesizing data, interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem reviews that identify the most impactful barriers to accelerated learning and recommend specific interventions.
- Maintaining strategic alignment through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone management to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
- Serving as the public representative of 2 Hour Learning at senior levels—from keynote presentations to engagements with Ministries of Education—to influence how the world approaches educational design.

- Managing isolated curriculum initiatives without driving broader systemic impact.
- Producing theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational execution.
- Transferring accountability for performance to middle management or external consultants.
- Depending on institutional reputation or theory to convince skeptical audiences.
Key responsibilities
Scale and refine 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across schools, raising leadership standards, and establishing yourself as the authoritative public voice of a movement founded on rigorous science and demonstrated results.
Candidate requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting
