In this coaching role at Alpha Anywhere, you'll support students in achieving what seems impossible: developing a genuine passion for learning, accelerating their progress, and maturing into self-assured, independent learners. You'll do this work from any location worldwide.
Alpha Anywhere represents the digital advancement of Alpha's innovative educational framework. We combine AI-driven instruction with two weekly one-on-one coaching sessions to provide what traditional classrooms cannot: individualized mastery, acceleration, and sustained engagement. This isn't tutoring. This isn't conventional teaching. This is performance coaching for students prepared to learn twice as fast—and who require guidance to reach that capability.
You'll partner with students in grades 3 through 8 from around the world to produce tangible academic gains through mindset transformation rather than direct instruction. Your mission is to maintain high standards, cultivate self-belief, and transform the school experience into something students want to win at. Each session you conduct carries weight. Each moment of progress you facilitate has real consequence. If meaningful impact is what you seek, you've just discovered it.
What you will be doing
- Facilitating two weekly one-on-one virtual coaching sessions per student, centered on academic goal establishment, motivation building, and mindset development
- Hosting open "office hours" sessions where students can drop in for immediate support, motivation, or problem-solving assistance
- Leveraging AI platforms and tracking dashboards to monitor student advancement, pinpoint obstacles, and refine your coaching methods
- Recording observations, concerns, and tactical adjustments to keep each student advancing on an accelerated growth path
- Working alongside your team to exchange effective strategies, raise important issues, and continuously refine the coaching framework
What you will NOT be doing
- Instructing lessons, evaluating assessments, or distributing homework—our technology manages the academic content
- Presenting lectures or adhering to a predetermined syllabus
- Supervising or over-managing unmotivated students—our approach is coaching, not constant oversight
- Attending redundant meetings or navigating administrative red tape
- Operating at minimal effort—this team is designed for individuals who aim to perform at elite levels and create genuine impact
Key responsibilities
Produce quantifiable academic advancement and student engagement for virtual learners through delivery of frequent, high-impact mindset coaching within a completely remote, technology-enabled environment.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- At least 1 year of experience coaching, mentoring, or motivating K–8 students
- Demonstrated high performance in any domain—academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or the arts
- Strong virtual presence and capability to build rapport with students rapidly via Zoom/Google Meet
- Comfortable using dashboards and tech tools to track and adjust performance
- Able to work at least 70% of hours between 7am–10pm EST, Monday to Friday, to align with U.S. time zones
Nice to have
- Background in performance coaching, sports psychology, or motivational work
- Experience working with homeschool or alternative education families
