Youth Engagement Coach   $60,000 USD/year

Description

You've already tested your limits—whether in sports, creative performance, or professional settings. Now it's time to channel that discipline into something meaningful. At Alpha Anywhere, you'll coach students to achieve what seems impossible: fall in love with learning, accelerate their progress, and become self-assured, independent thinkers. And you'll do it remotely, from wherever you are.

Alpha Anywhere represents the next phase of Alpha's innovative school model. We combine AI-driven academic content with two 1:1 coaching sessions per week to offer what traditional classrooms cannot: tailored mastery, momentum, and intrinsic drive. This isn't tutoring. This isn't classroom instruction. It's performance coaching for students prepared to learn twice as fast—and who need the right guide to unlock that potential.

You'll support 3rd–8th grade students around the world in achieving tangible academic progress through mindset transformation, not direct teaching. Your mission is to set ambitious standards, cultivate confidence, and make education feel like achievement. Every conversation you lead has weight. Every insight you unlock creates momentum. If you're searching for meaningful impact, this is it.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting two weekly 1:1 virtual coaching sessions per student, centered on academic planning, motivation, and mental frameworks
  • Hosting open "office hours" where students can drop in for live support, motivation, or problem-solving
  • Leveraging AI tools and performance dashboards to monitor student progress, surface obstacles, and refine coaching tactics
  • Documenting observations, concerns, and strategic adjustments to keep each student on an accelerated growth path
  • Partnering with your team to exchange best practices, escalate issues, and continuously refine the coaching framework

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering lessons, grading assignments, or setting homework—technology manages the academic content
  • Presenting lectures or adhering to a fixed curriculum
  • Babysitting or over-managing unmotivated students—we coach, we don't hover
  • Attending pointless meetings or navigating red tape
  • Settling for mediocrity—this team is designed for people committed to high performance and real impact

Key responsibilities

Deliver measurable academic progress and student engagement in a virtual environment by providing frequent, high-impact mindset coaching within a fully remote, technology-enabled model.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • At least 1 year of experience coaching, mentoring, or motivating K–8 students
  • Demonstrated high performance in any discipline—academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or the arts
  • Strong virtual communication skills and ability to build rapport with students rapidly over Zoom/Google Meet
  • Comfortable navigating dashboards and tech tools to monitor and adapt performance
  • Able to work at least 70% of hours between 7am–10pm EST, Monday to Friday, to align with U.S. time zones

Nice to have

  • Background in performance coaching, sports psychology, or motivational work
  • Experience working with homeschool or alternative education families
