What you will be doing

  • Execute powerful daily morning kickoffs that energize and align student-athletes for peak performance
  • Conduct targeted 1:1 motivation sessions grounded in measurable academic and personal progress
  • Deliver transformative life skill workshops utilizing elite athletic experience, strategic storytelling, and interactive coaching
  • Lead structured afternoon athletic practices designed specifically to build grit, teamwork, and accountability
  • Implement comprehensive progress tracking systems while maintaining unwavering standards for both mindset and performance

What you will NOT be doing

  • Teaching standard academic curriculum or serving as a classroom teacher
  • Performing administrative paperwork that distracts from direct student mentorship
  • Following rigid coaching protocols - you'll leverage your own championship experience
  • Focusing solely on athletic performance without connecting to life outcomes
  • Working in isolation - you'll be part of an elite team of mentors with shared vision

Key responsibilities

Transform elite student-athletes into champions of character through world-class mentorship that delivers measurable improvements in both academic outcomes and personal development.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven elite athletic achievement at the highest levels: Olympian, World Champion, professional player in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-American
  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • Demonstrated experience translating athletic principles into effective life skills coaching
  • Verifiable track record of motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional environments
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Commitment to living in Austin, TX with relocation support provided
