Texas Sports Academy uses sport as the foundation for teaching life skills. In this hands-on position, you will lead daily motivational sessions, deliver life coaching through athletic frameworks, and mentor driven student-athletes with the same rigor you applied to your own career.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting daily morning sessions to motivate and prepare student-athletes for the day
  • Delivering 1:1 motivational coaching tied to academic achievement and personal growth
  • Leading life skills workshops through storytelling, reflection, and hands-on coaching methods
  • Directing afternoon athletic training sessions focused on resilience, collaboration, and accountability
  • Monitoring student development and maintaining rigorous standards for mindset and performance

Candidate requirements

  • We are looking for former elite athletes who competed at the highest level — Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
  • Bachelor's degree in any subject
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and coaching life skills through sport
  • Track record of motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional environments
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Willingness to relocate to or reside in Austin, TX
